Abba Comillas Hotel

Our room was very roomy with a very comfortable bed and air conditioning. We were hiking a few sections of the Camino del Norte and this hotel provided a great break from our long walk. The breakfast was also very good. I would highly recommend this hotel.

There was only one waitress serving drinks on the terrace, so some times you had to wait awhile for service.

It’s clean and close to local attractions.

It’s location and parking spaces. The staff are polite and helpful.

Front desk staff was excellent and breakfast was fantastic.

Restaurant was closed on Sunday night but front desk teammsentbus to a great restaurant 200 Meters away.

We stayed at Abba Comillas and were very disappointed. The main reason we booked this hotel was because it advertised a SPA with a sauna — after walking 30 km on the Camino, we were really looking forward to use the Sauna (main reason we booked this expansive hotel). Unfortunately, upon arrival we were told the Sauna was under maintenance. No prior notice, no update, no effort to compensate us for not providing one of the key services they promised. If the Sauna is under maintenance, why don't you update your description and fool customers? That was a trap. On top of that, the location is inconvenient — much too far from the center, so not ideal if you want easy access to the town. The breakfast was very mediocre, nothing memorable from out stay at all.Calling this a 4-star hotel is a huge stretch. Between the misleading description, lack of communication, and underwhelming facilities, this was one of the most disappointing stays we’ve had on the Camino. Would not recommend. You can find better places for half the price in the area.

Spacious rooms with comfortable beds. Plentiful breakfast and lovely walks into the historic centre of town.

Unfortunately opted for a meal at the hotel the last evening which was a disappointment and quite pricey - especially compared to the rest of the meals we had in Spain. And, the water pressure of the shower was very low … breakfast, comfort of beds and location made up for this

Comfy bed, nice bathroom with bath. Bar with outdoor lounges. Great restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Great rest day location while travelling on the Camino 1 km from the Camino path.

I couldn't find the pool. But I could have asked but it wasn't apparent with signs where it was

Everything the breakfast was delicious with great choices. Had dinner one night that was perfect. The room was large with perfect facilities. A nice walk into the town. I would come back in a heartbeat.

The hotel is located out of hectic city center. I enjoyed tranquil mood with breeze from near seashore. Water quality for bath and wash was excellent and heating system works well.

There was a group of tourists which had breakfast in the morning. They had an appointment for early breakfast time. Because I had to leave early as well, I could not avoid to have a breakfast with them. This was not that disturbing me but I wish I could be informed before I checked in.
