Hotel Conde de Agueda

Centrally located in Águeda, close to restaurants and bars. Comfortable room, nice breakfast included in a reasonable rate. It's a quite nice hotel, with a rooftop bar with great views over town.

There was a single elevator which was very slow.

The staff was lovely. We were welcomed by Jessica at check in and she was super helpful and friendly. We made use of room service and the staff was also very lovely and efficient.The room was spacious, the bed large and very comfortable, and the bath water powerful.The parking for the car was very convenient and worked very well as everything is within walking distance.

The bath area could be improved if it had a different protective structure that wouldn't let the water leak to the floor.The shampoo/shower gel little tubs were definitely not great to be used as a shampoo. Leaves the hair super dry. The more environmentally friendly option of having permanent dispensers for shower gel and shampoo separately could be a better option.

Good breakfast and view

Lights in stairs turn off too quickly. AC controls must be explained to guests. Add coffee maker to room. Access for cars is difficult.

Staff were great and the bed was very comfortable

The room smelt of drain's and there was no way to make a drink, limited complimentary toiletries.

The location was fantastic. From the rooftop you can see the street with umbrellas from above.

The staff was not necessarily very friendly. The room was quite small.

We can’t say much. We arrived at 5 am and left at 11 am. But we liked the top view from the city.

Quantity of goods in the breakfast was getting scarce 1h hour before closing. Air conditioning system in the room, even if set for maximum (noisy) was not refreshing the air. Noise outside the room (in the corridor) is quite audible inside.

Everything. From the decor to location. From breakfast to comfort. The staff was amazing!

We had a pleasant stay here while walking the Camino. Our room was very clean and modern, with a large and comfortable bed. The top floor of the hotel has a lovely bar area and outdoor terrace with views of the surrounding area. It was a relaxing place to hang out. An excellent buffet breakfast was served there the next morning. We want to especially acknowledge the front desk staff, who were so kind and helpful.

The top-floor bar was supposed to be open at 7 pm every day, offering light meals as well as drinks. That had been our dinner plan after a full day of walking on the Camino. Unfortunately, it was closed the night we were there for unknown reasons. The wonderful front desk person directed us to a local restaurant where we had a very good dinner, so it all worked out.

The hotel is in a beautiful location. The rooms are comfortable and cozy. The bathroom was clean. The front desk staff were kind and welcoming.

The AC in the room didn’t work very well. Be sure to check the in room manual for the proper settings, but even then it is still ineffective.
