Hotel Klosterbräustuben

Our fourth time in this hotel and already planning the next. We love everything about this hotel, fabulous facilities, great food,friendly helpful staff and perfectly placed for touring the beautiful black forest, I can't recommend the Klosterbraustubern enough

Staff was very pleasant and helpful except for the lady at the desk for the check in and the check out. She was rude, unpleasant and condescending. I've been travelling in Germany for many years and this was the worst.

The hotel was plain but all the important things were very satisfactory - the rooms were extremely spacious, clean and the beds comfortable. It was quite a large facility with a few different buildings but they were all connected through an underground corridor, and it was nice being able to walk to the sauna / spa without needing to go outside. Breakfast was a generous continental buffet. Parking was easy.

Perhaps I misread the description but I had expected the location to be a little different - with some nature and grounds, and also for it to feel a bit more luxurious - perhaps that's down to my misunderstanding of how the word 'spa' is used in Germany. In fact, it was in the middle of a (very quiet) residential area and it was just other houses around. To cross from one building to another (if you didn't use the underground corridor) was to cross the road. (Although, again, a very quiet road, its not like there was traffic to worry about). It's not that the location was bad, it was a pleasant, quiet area that felt very safe - it's just that it was different to what I had imagined. It may be down to my misreading / misreading the description but thought this could be a useful clarification for others in case they also expect it to be more in the countryside.

Bit spread out. Dinner average. Little choice for vegetarians if you are not keen on cheese/noodles

no air conditioner for the weather in June which can get warm.

The breakfast was rich and tasty. I didn’t miss anything.Unfortunately, in Corona Lockdown times, the Wellness area was closed- this certainly is a highlight of this hotel. Hygienic measures were good and thoughtful ?The restaurant for dinner is superb (try the Rumpsteak in medium!!) - the local beer from cask is awesome!

A stunning place with a wonderful atmosphere. A pampering spa with massages at fair prices. A wonderful place.

The hotel was clean and spacey but just didn't radiat a feeling of comfort and wellbeing!

Air conditioning or at least a fan in the room is greatly needed!
