Hotel El Paso Honroso

Great Staff.

Good for one night after hiking the Camino. Quiet area.

Very dated and in need of updates. It’s basically a truck stop hotel and a bit far from the Camino.

Location and convenience.

Check in was confusing, because instructions didn’t make sense. Lack of communication. My room was hot, the ac didn’t work. I tried to reach out several times before 6:00pm asking if I could have a fan or change rooms. I never received a response nor did they answer when I called.

The location/distance to center that booking.com showed was from bird perspective, but I am not a bird and can't fly, so it would be much more usefull to me if I knew the real distance. But then I wouldn't have booked it. I was walking Camino, and it was 1.5 km from the Camino path, and that is much at 5:30 AM.

Location perfect as I used bus to Astorga. Staff were helpful but didn't know there was an ATM in the village.

Better English would have helped or better Spanish from me.

Spacious rooms, very comfy beds, good value, quiet. Food in restaurant was great! Grocery store nearby.

It’s about 600 m south of the Camino, minor issue. General air of a really nice hotel in need of a refresh, furniture and fittings. There were 2 fire alarms in the middle of the night; lucky they were false alarms. I’m guessing a fault in the system. Despite that, a good place to stay. I’d stay again.

Staff were responsive when there were issues

We were placed in a smoking room, air con didn’t work and door did not lockProperly. Location not ideal next toPetrol station and thought it expensive for what it was.

It's ideal for either a one night stay or several nights. Staff are very welcoming. Rooms comfortable and clean. The bar serves pinchos & plato combinados - good value for money. Garage next door. ALSA buses stop outside to both Leon and Astorga.

Good value, clean and comfortable. This is a truck stop style hotel. But there is a grocery store across the street.

It was outside of town on a major roadway. It’s a truck stop style hotel.

Nice place on the Highway. Receptionist was helpful. Cafe was good.

Honestly - very little. But the staff were lovely.

Not a lot.

The bedroom stank of cigarette smoke. We requested to change rooms but we’re refused, even though there were plenty of empty rooms. we were told that smoking is forbidden in the hotel so there could not be a smell of smoke. If this was the case why was there an ash tray in the room.

a comfortable stay and everything, other than air conditioning, was as described.

air conditioning in bedroom appeared to cut out every time after switching on. I did not refer to hotel staff about it.

the property is 7-10 minutes from the Camino trail- on the opposite side of the town.

The food in the cafe was good.

The floor heating made the room very hot and when we rang reception no one answered. A sign in the room said “fuma prohibida” but there was an ashtray in the room and the sheets smelled of cigarette smoke.

We liked everything about it. It was great value for money and had everything you need for an overnight stay. The bar serves a variety of reasonably priced Plato Combinados and breakfasts. The staff are very friendly and efficient. Have stayed several times. Easy parking too.

Nothing to dislike.
