Hotel was very dated and smelled of damp - it was overpriced for quality
Wonderful location, very pleasant staff, and a good breakfast. The room was charming and full of character.
A classic hotel with a vintage feel. Easygoing comfort without pretense that delivered a quiet stay walkeable to most areas within the city.
Charming hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent location. Very good breakfast. Clean and well-appointed bathroom. Comfortable bed. Aircon worked well. Would definitely stay there again.
Room and bath a bit small but seemed appropriate in a very old, charming building.
The property is very centrally located but is in need of renovation. No fan in the bathroom, no iron capabilities & extremely small.
The breakfast and the location
The design, the cleaning, the room. It doesn't worth it for the value.
Good value room, breakfast very good, parking outside if you are lucky or 3 euros a night in the large Place de Verdun a couple of minutes walk away if not. Some new carpets stacked by the lifts and ready to be laid suggests the hotel is getting a refurb.
We had an unispired 'courtyard' view.
Last minute booking, parking unavailable outside so was shown where to park. Few minutes walk from hotel and reasonable for 24 hours. Location seemed good.
Room hadn’t been cleaned properly before we got in there as there was tissue paper on floor. Didn’t complain to staff as it wasn’t a major issue
Very clean; very friendly staff and a great location
Suite 16 is very cold and no sun at all. The room sometimes smelled dump. Suite 38 was good but no central heating and the toilet is very cold.
dump and cold. no lighting for the pool table.
Location is perfect and one can see this once has been a great hotel.
Initially we were placed in the basement. Which best qualifies as a dark dungeon that smells of mold and sewers.Outdated furniture of all kinds were spread around the room which gave it the cosines of an abandoned dormitory...
The area was great with interesting local services We were in Pau to start a cycling holiday in the Pyrenees so our excitement was highStaff were great.
Quite a long walk to parking.
Handy to town
Parking not easy, one room had no heating and very low beams/ceiling- banged head a few times
An older Hotel with large comfortable family suite comprising (2 doubles +1 single) with large bathroom double sink bath/shower combination and separate WC. Plenty of room to move about. Kettle/tea making facility provided iron & ironing board on request. Located in the centre of Pau. Large open car park nearby less than 2 Euro for overnight parking charge.
I would suggest availability of a non slip mat for the bath/shower combination to reduce risk of slipping in shower.
The location is excellent, being a 10 minute walk from the funicular thatbegins just outside the train station. The room is generously sized and had a refrigerator. Lots of restaurants and shopping nearby.
Price was a little high.
Central location to train station, restaurants and centre of Pau. Comfy beds and good breakfast.
Superior double room was charming with sloped ceiling, however don’t choose this room if you are tall. Difficult to walk around in with luggage.
Great central location within easy walking distance of centre ville. Staff efficient and welcoming. Breakfast good. No parking but got the motorbike parked right outside the hotel fine.
The staff were friendly and spoke English well, which was helpful since our French is very little. The room was clean and spacious. The value for money for the room was good. The location was also good. Despite being on a busy street, the noise in the room was little.
The breakfast was mediocre, especially for the price.
Clean room, excellent location
It looks a bit rundown. They should have some outside lights at night.
