Pros +
- The location was convenient for us. We can walk downtown easily.
- A wanderful vegan dinner prepared by the hotel shef special and only for us
- Close to old town and the park. Nice dinner at the GrandPrix.
Cons -
- The lady checking us in was not friendly at all. I had better service at the other hotels we stayed in during our trip this time. We stayed in 5 different other hotels and the service was much better. This hotel is not worth 5 Stars - at 3 the most.
- Slightly outdated. Needs some refurbishments
- We were uncomfortable by the attitude of the dining room waiter. Jus because we asked to change tables, the person reacted in a rather aggressive manner (went on to separate two juxtaposed tables with disdain and throwing silverware and servillettes on both)......

The hotel is well located, easy to access and the underground parking was a plus. Food was good but pricey for what what it was. Breakfast was good.

The room was spacious with attractive view over the park. It was nice to have a bath and a shower in the room. Lovely dense fluffy towels and the toiletries were very nice too. Excellent location to visit the city
Great location, nice view, warm rooms, nice staff. We enjoyed the most room service. Perfect checkout time.
The staff definitely exceeded my expectations and the food was really good. I should mention the fast response when ironing and washing my shirts.I'm looking forward to go back there.
Lovely view over the park. Well appointed big bathroom with bath tub and walk in shower. The Jeu de Paume restaurant was a gastronomic delight. Friendly staff too.
My wife had a hole ripped in her top by the reception frontage. But the receptionist on checking out kindly took some money off the bill for our stay.
Location is great, at the edge of the park and the old city. Our view over the park was very pleasant too. Breakfast was very good. There is parking, with an option for underground parking, and dogs are welcome.
We should generally be trying to save energy, and minimise the use of air conditioning. I don’t understand why so many hotels have started to use very heavy duvets all year round. We visited Pau in mid-August and I had to remove the duvet and use a towel as a blanket, in order to avoid using the AC, which I hate, and keep the window open. Please consider returning to old-fashioned bedding with sheets and a light blanket in summer. Duvets are for cold weather!!!!!
Breakfast and staff were excellent Location good and a free car park.
Beautiful setting, beside a park, good for walking our dogs. Well appointed, large room. Great staff, fantastic pool, excellent breakfast. All round first class!
Nothing, all was great.
Arrived at 1510 hrs, check in is 1500hrs. We were given room 215, as we opened the door, we saw dirty dishes, unmade bed, towels on bathroom floor. Returned to reception, they apologised and gave us room 212. I thought maybe a room upgrade or a complimentary drink at the bar would have been a nice gesture for their mistake. However, we weren't offered anything. Room 212 was clean and well presented with a balcony over looking the park. The superkingsize bed was so comfortable. Lovely toiletries, fluffy towels, robes and slippers. Complimentary sparkling and still water in the mini bar. Nespresso coffee machine in the room and a good selection of teas. We enjoyed the pool, sauna and jacuzzi. Had a couple of drinks at the bar, €32 for 1 gin & tonic and 1 bacardi and coke. Bar service was swift, friendly and professional. We didn't eat at the hotel. We walked through the park to the town, very handy. Check out time is 1200 hrs which is great. I feel that reception staff weren't very friendly, I think there may have been staff training going on.
Informed the hotel that it was our honeymoon & they kindly upgraded us. The balcony was a real stand out feature and the staff noticed we were looking a bit peaky upon checkout (!) & gave us bottles of water which was really kind.
Some parts of the breakfast weren’t that tasty (the croissants weren’t the best) but we were allowed to order a lot of food items at a flat fee which made up for it
Very friendly and welcoming staff, everything was provided for us. Excellent location, car safely, parked dog, friendly.Very nice spa Excellent spot, every member of staff was both extremely helpful and friendly. One of the nicest hotels we stayed in, would definitely go back .
Good location and a comfortable room.
Very expensive and the restaurant was closed. Bar food was expensive
Loved the view on the Pyrénées! The bedroom (115), the hotel situation with the beautiful park. The personnel was kind and professional.
The air conditioning in the rooms!
The Hotel is conveniently located, a short walk through Parc Beamont to the promenade des Pyrennes or to the centre de ville. The room was everything you could wish for in a hotel of this standing and was very comfortable. Access to the Spa was a small additional cost but well worth it. We didn't have breakfast but we dined in the cafe and were impressed with the service and quality of the food.

Ambiance is nice, staff were courteous, location was perfect. We had lunch at the hotel, it was ok!
quality of food
We arrived there late in the eventing quite spontaneously and got a very warm welcome! Very friendly staff, comfortable room!
We were upgraded to a Junior Suite on arrival which had a huge balcony and a great room! Breakfast was good, if expensive, and the hotel location is central and on the edge of a beautiful park.
The meal in the Brasserie on our first evening was a disappointment. We'd travelled all day so ate early at 18h30 and were the only table in the restaurant. My main meal was luke warm, our cutlery wasn't replaced after starters, and the waiter was so unwelcoming and condescending (the tall / thin guy - not his colleague with the specs and ponytail) that we didn't eat there again, and it's the first time in 40 years that we didn't leave a tip for service.
