- location
- We arrived early so I went in to see if I could park my car in the space I had reserved and then come back later to check in. The young lady on reception could not have been more helpful and after checking she advised us that our room was actually ready. The room was typical of an old French building and we loved it as it was spacious and comfortable with two Juliette balconies overlooking a courtyard at the back. The Hotel is ideally placed within walking distance of both the bars and restaurants in the centre of town but also the fabulous Boulevard de Pyrenees with its beautiful views over the Pyrenees and the free furnicular railway which will take you down to the low town and back up again. There was a good choice for breakfast with fabulous coffee and I would definitely stay here again
- Pretty standard continental
Cons -
- almost everything, no AC in most rooms, and rooms with AC have it only during the day, elevator mostly doesn't work, dingy room and accessories
- Some street noise beyond the hotels controlNarrow streets and closures and one ways that made ot hard to get there after we picked up a rental car
- The location is on a narrow mixed use street, so the traffic is not heavy, but the sound of the occssional car and of pedestrians reverberates up into the rooms along the street.

Location is very good, just 12 minutes on foot from the train station. If you arrive between 6 a.m. And 9:30 p.m., there is a funicular that can get you and your luggage up the bluff that holds the old center city
The location is on a narrow mixed use street, so the traffic is not heavy, but the sound of the occssional car and of pedestrians reverberates up into the rooms along the street.
Location.Goid breakfast
No fridge in the room and no vending machines. No way to get cold water when you get into the hotel
The location is great, close to everything. Room was comfortable and quiet and the bathroom was generous. My third stay at this hotel. Will be back.
Location was convenient for town centre and restaurants. A short walk from railway station via funicular. Cleanliness
Only one electric socket in a double room.Only one hard garden chair in a double room, no easy chair or other seating for 2 people. No kettle or tea making facility. No English language on TV despite CNN being listed on the channel card in the room.Entire hotel is tired and in need of a refresh. It should be recognised that this is a town centre hotel with no views.
Great little hotel. I have stayed here several times. It's a great value and close to the train station. It is a bit dated, but that is expected as it's an old building and it's perfectly comfortable. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I never have any complaints.
Room was nice.and large, but stark, not cosy, blank walls, no pictures.
Room was boring, blank walls, no soft furnishings, bathroom very small, nowhere to hand towels once used , very basic.
Convenient to train station
Everything in bedroom very old curtain hanging off rail towels very worn and grey from washing Very bed musty smell on entrance to hotel and throughout corridors carpet worn out lift upstairs very dirty
Excellent location to explore Pau. Really great to be able to park on-site too (for a small price)
Quite noisy from other rooms both late at night but early in the morning too.
This was just a one-night stop over for us, but it was well located, both in terms of exploring the city in the little time we had and its proximity to the train station
Nothing really. Kinda too short too truly evaluate. Perhaps a breakfast worth the money albeit noted we did not eat there, because based on experience it is cheaper to get a coffee and a croissant outside.I guess a Nespresso machine and something to make tea would be a welcome addition
Good bed and towels
Right by the road. Overall standard poorer than what expectation was acc. to pictures.
Friendly lovely staff at receptionRoom was comfortable for one personGreat location, easy walk to shops , restaurants, bars etcCheck out 12 noon !! How rare.
Spacious bedroom, bed was very comfy, for the price (super cheap) given the location it was really good. Room was very quiet even though we overlooked the street but it had two sets of windows to block noise. Super friendly staff (the night time and day time). Would stay again as the location is fantastic and one of the few that offers parking.
The hot water took a long time to arrive in the shower.
Location and had an old charm to it. Good parking. Staff were excellent and went above expectations
Little tired in places.
The location was great and the staff were super friendly and helpful. Having parking this central was useful too.
The room was a little grubby. And the hotel had a strange smell to it, even the towels had the smell and we were reluctant to use them. Luckily we only stayed one night.
The hotel was superbly situated, and has the benefit of parking. The staff were quite outstanding and went the extra mile to make our stay special. There are very good restaurants within a minute or two away. The room was huge and very peaceful
Centrally located easy walk from train & funicular. Shops & restaurants nearby. A good base for exploring the city.
They could pay attention to cleaning the outside window ledges as some cigarette butts left there (smokers should do better)
Only reasonably priced hotel near the train station. 24hr front desk so 6:30AM exit to catch an early train is possible. Lots of restaurants nearby. Quiet location.
Breakfast at 12euro seemed overpriced. Didn’t have it so maybe it is more elaborate than normal in which case the price might be reasonable.
