Pros +
- Beautiful property not far from Parc Aquasports Slalom Training facility. Friendly and helpful staff. I like the views out the window of the rooms and walking around the grounds. The food was good.
- Iconic scenes of the Pyrenees
- Gorgeous grounds. Pool not open???????
Cons -
- As to be expected with houses built in the mid 1800’s, the rooms are dated. That said, the elevator works and the spa looks fine. Updating the lighting controls in the room would be helpful.
- Very limited food options Far from the city center
- Air conditioning non existant and we were put on the 3rd floor during a heat wave. The hotel had few guests so there were many cooler rooms with portable AC's that we could see and that we asked about.

fabulous view. Dinner was good.
Room decor very tired. Generally could do with an update to overall decor.
Beautiful outdoors and nice building but needs to be spruced up, it shows its age and needs work. The breakfast buffet was great
We were told there is a restaurant but they closed Sundays and Mondays. No robes found to use at the Jacuzzi. Showers out of service. Carpets are soiled need to be replaced in corridors, photos on wall have faded long ago
Location, good sized bath.
Not 5 star by any means! Restaurant closed Sundays and Mondays. Grounds unkept. Weekend staff unhelpful. Generally very disapppointing. Have stayed here before but deterioration in quality and near doubling of prices. I suspect ownership will have to change soon to survive!
It's honest presentationIt's very hospitable staff who did everything to make my stay comfortable.
Well, it's very hard to say that the lack of guests was negative or positive!!!??It made the hotel very quiet and feel like a private House...does one want that? One doesn't want a noisy place by any stretch of the imagination either?!?
Nice breakfast with fabulous views of the Pyrenees from the lounge and breakfast room
Advertised having 2 restaurants, neither were open which should have been made clear on booking. This was supposedly a 5 star establishment which the cost reflected but the room (suite) though large was basic - calling it a suite was laughable, sofa in the room entrance facing the door, next to the lavatory.
The yard around the hotel The warm welcome upon arrival. I forgot the name but the receptionist on the day of my arrival morning of 14th was an exceptional staff
Excellent breakfast
The restaurant was closed. I had booked a Suite, but got only a delux room (with a small reduction in rate). No light at the desk at the room.
The only good things about this hotel were the staff who were nice and it looked lovely from the outside (apart from the radiator thrown to the side of the property). The toiletries in the room were also nice.
The room was extremely dated, the carpet was old and stained. We booked dinner on arrival in the restaurant only to be told later it was full and we had to seek from elsewhere. They did not have a bar with snacks or have room service. Nowhere in the hotel could we get food after driving all day. We were not the only guests asking where we could get food at reception. We resorted to waiting outside for 40 minutes for Uber Eats. I have never had to do this in a 5* hotel. We were told on check in that breakfast was included (we had a suite at great expense) only to be charged for breakfast upon departure. The breakfast was a basic buffet, nothing special at all. It is such a shame as the hotel could be lovely. It just needs modernising and food for weary guests when they arrive. As it stands this hotel does not deserve 5*.
There was no room available. It was occupied as a meeting room. I havent received refund.
Lovely location. Fantastic Restaurant and Spa Pool areas. Beautiful lounge.
Location, view, staff
Would be amazing if outdoor swimming pool was refurbished
Wonderful old world charm. Choose room 6. Quiet, huge and elegant
The location, the staff and the restuarant.
The property is worn out and could do with upgrades. Filled with mosquitos in the common areas made it difficult to relax or work. Overcharged for addtional services like laundry.
Dog friendly room & lots of on site parking
In need of a refresh, looking tired & a little rundown
Lovely big room with nice bathroom with bath and separate shower, staff friendly and helpful.Good gym and spa pool.
Reviews said that the hotel had good food but when we arrived we were told the restaurant was closed, we should have been informed of this prior to booking, also said it had two swimming pools but only one working.
Location
Very poor service at breakfast - only one staff who seemed very confused and not knowing what he was doing. Not enough table and barely any food left when we came down at 9am! Room spacious but needs an update in bathroom and toilet. Shower door needs to be replaced and pipes behind toilet looks very old and dirty. No working safe in room - never got back to us with a solution. No service at checkout - had to ask for help. Sign on elevator says it wasn’t working - but it did work! Receptionist at check in was not very welcoming - she was on the phone for a long time even though there were several new guests arriving. Not enough staff overall. We don’t understand how the hotel can be a 5 star hotel - the reason why we booked it.
Our room with three doors opening out onto a terrace looking over the garden.. perfect for our dog too!Spa facilities were brilliant and enjoyed all to myself
