The smaller hotels are very welcoming and when you say your name, they hand you a key. There essentially is no "check-in" process. They were helpful in suggesting places for dinner. The desk staff spoke English, which we came to find as very valuable.

We caused this ourselves. I told the evening clerk "no breakfast". My partner went into the restaurant the next morning and had breakfast before I arrived. We had the standard "petit des juneres" but the clerk charged us for the more expensive version.

ideal location for visiting the monastery with magnificent views of the surrounding hills. calm hotel and excellent local cuisine in nearby restaurants.

Very delightful and simple 2 star hotel. Welcoming staff and great location just at the bottom of the Main Street. Friendly bar and sunny terrace. Rooms were small but perfectly formed. Comfy beds and our room 22 had small balcony with lovely countryside views.

Lovely staff and location. They gave us great tips of where to eat, helped us get a taxi, opened my bottle of wine.

I think I couldn't use the bath tub because there wasn't any cap to keep the water. It was a bit noisy because we were next to where the tables outside were.

I had expected it to be basic, but the hotel was so comfortable we stayed an extra night. I was keen for a view so opted for a balcony for the first night. They had to move us to an upstairs room with no balcony when we asked to stay an extra night. The view was even better! The breakfast room was a treat, with its wall to wall windows overlooking the beautiful valley. The staff was so kind, recommending restaurants and helping us figure out how to charge our electric car (there was a charger in a carpark nearby). A terrific stay.

it had an inspiring location: from the front opening up to delightful square with external seating and a breakfast room with wow factor view of the countryside. The hotel could be described as bijou and the staff from reception, catering and cleaning were friendly and accommodating. Wonderful, keep up the high standards

Excellent location

This placeis absolutely delightful. We also had friends stay in another room, and we all loved it. The location across the street from an excellent, friendly, reasonable restaurant made it the perfect place to enjoy Vézelay.

Super close to the old city. Extremely friendly staff. Got us a better room when we arrived as one was available. Due to COVID, some restaurants in the city were close but staff propose to warm up some pizza if we needed (much easier with 2 small kids).

Everything about the village is lovely, the views are beauriful, great restaurant across the street. The staff is friendly and eager to do anything to help..

Coffee cups could have been bigger. :)
