Room was spacious a reasonably clean. In the (old) facility everything was in good order (heating, insulation, access). Strategic location to visit Abbaye Sainte-Marie-Madeleine de Vézelay.

- no staff or owner on arrival. we had to call a phone nr. at the door- basic hotel with a 30 old years facilities- no restaurant 4 days a week

Personnel was very friendly. The room was very clean.

The old building had its limitations. Floor levels v doors. No windows in bathroom.

Excellent breakfast, friendly atmosphere and perfect location.

The location is good. Convenient for the village & the Basilica. The building structure is attractive, it needs to be more eye catching & brightening up. Paint, pots of plants. The bed was fine, clean white sheets & comfortable. There is a lack of surfaces & hooks in the bathroom. Difficulty in finding space to put toiletries & no hooks to hang even a shower cap on. Provided by myself. The room rate is very acceptable but it does lack user friendly facilities. The chamber maid/housekeeper does a good job. The reception area could do with more effort in regard to customer service. This may serve student guests but the approach for older categories needs a bit of polishing up.

It’s good for what was promised . But an idea : A little refresh ( even just paint + bettering the plumbing ) , would make it a better standard hotel that’s in a great location ! Great service too !

Not worthy of the name hotel

There is that much mould in bathroom that it smells in the entire room. It’s not a healthy situation. I reported the issue at the reception and they didn’t even apologise or offer a solution. This hotel is not worthy of a star. For that price you expect decency. Would only recommend this place if all other places are full.

Absolutely loved it Felt like going back in time!!!! What a quaint, original “French hotel” I wouldn’t change it for any frou-frou luxury boutique hotel.The food was fantastic as well! They have a genius misting system that cools the air so sitting under their wonderfully shaded front garden is a treat! The staff were incredibly polite and accommodating 10/10

Service and employees were super nice. Hotel is located just in from of bus station, 5-7min walking to the cathedral.
