Chateau du Clair de Lune - Boutique Luxury Hotel

Beautiful and modernized room, building and gardens.

Chateau du clair de lune was far beyond any expectations and a beautiful property!! We didnt want to leave!!! Dont miss this one!

No it was exceptional!

Good

While the staff was very attentive, there was not enough staff. There was only one waitress on the terrace and in the dining room. She could not be expected to meet all the guests needs.

Gorgeous chateau, very friendly staff, nice restaurant on the property, very spacious room and bathroom, good breakfast, salt water pool.

Character, clean, lovely grounds, friendly and attentive staff and a beautiful peaceful location.

Can’t think of anything.

the property, the ideal surroundings, the great restaurant on site, the staff was amazing

the breakfast could improve a little

We really enjoyed the pool and the horses. The whole place feels really spacious.

A sauna for rainy days would have been nice. The garden was very nice and wholesome, but a bit more curating would not have been bad.

Location

Breakfast:no eggs included-no sliced fruit-too long waiting time for coffee. No value for money.Room smelled bad-musty smell-own clothes had same musty smell after 5 days in the room. Some sockets were not working. No wardrobe in the room. Sometimes no service at the pool. Overrated. Shabby towels and bathrobes.

Amazing pool, extremely friendly staff

The pool wood surrounds need sanding as they left many splinters in kids feet. Breakfast was expensive for what it was

Loved it so much! The castle was enchanting and the breakfast was lovely.

There were cockroaches in the bathroom— we killed about 3 in our one night stay?

Pretty building close to Biarritz and good place to stop off.The restaurant was closed but we had a very nice light dinner served on the terrace.

The first room we had was in the hunting lodge. It is contemporary and not to our taste ( we are quite ancient..) and our sheets felt a bit damp probably as the hot weather had just broken. The hotel moved us to a lovely room in the main hotel which was very comfortable. No a.c but a very efficient and quiet fan which we preferred.

Not much!

Smelled of urine from first step into lobby and throughout thereafter. Restaurant was closed.Paint peeling off everywhere. Towels were old and stained. Air on was only very weak and unit was HOT.

Beautiful 1902 chateau with beautiful grounds and comfortable rooms

Close to town 10 min drive to the promenade FreeParking Breakfast was very nice Service extraordinaire! ❤️

Everything was perfect - the big garden, the stunning trees, the cottage and the room, the service and the best care for us and our dog

Peaceful location within easy reach of beaches and towns. Beautiful gardens with mature trees. Very relaxing.

Beautiful chateau: building, garden, swimming pool..

Restaurant for dinner not available.

The château is a stunning and beautiful place maintained to a very high standard. My room was in the hunting lodge and was spacious and immaculately clean with everything you need. The shower was very good and the bed comfy. One thing I must mention was the hospitality we received in particular from Lorraine. She was so friendly and went to any lengths to help us. I would expect that level of hospitality from a business owner, which she is not. She is a true asset for the owners of this place. The staff at breakfast were also very friendly.Location is very close to airport and train station so taxi journey is inexpensive. It's a little further into Biarritz about 10 mins. There is lots of parking if you have a car and dogs were very welcome.

Pool area is great with a fabulous view of the mountains. But it could possibly be updated a little as the decking looks a little worn. Don't get me wrong, it's absolutely fine but not exceptional like the rest of the place. The pool is a good size and there is a bar there for drinks and food.A little more selection and fresh items at breakfast would be good. It was 20 euros but I think for that price my expectations were a bit higher. On the plus side the breakfast room and terrace provided a very special location for food and drinks at breakfast and throughout the day.

Beautiful hotel and gardens. The most beautiful place. Friendly staff. Welcomes dogs
