Just a ten minute walk to the centre of Biarritz. Very friendly welcome by the host who spoke pretty good English. Adequate private parking.

No a/c, very small en suite with a ‘musty’ smell.

I really enjoyed my stay here. It's an easy hotel, but very clean, lovely and friendly staff. I felt at home here!Short walk, about 10 minutes, to the central parts of Biarritz and the ocean.The bus stop to and from the airport is just a few minutes away and its in a nice neighbourhood.

Friendly welcome, Good location. Wonderful tree in front and pretty green foliage at the back. Easy to park.

Bathroom very small and cramped. Breakfast room very busy on our last morning.

Bed was comfortable and clean, it needed some updating as was dated, couldn’t have the windows open due to noise

Climbing outside stairs after negotiating a very uneven patio area that had tree roots growing through.Window looking onto the main road had no curtains or shutters.The room was very small, the bathroom was very small.

The room's ventilation is ver bad and humid. The room is equiped with a dehumidifier and is on before we move in. We need to open the window. As a result, our sleep is bombarding by traffic noise and mosquito. The curtains are terribly hanged and will fall down. I think this room is unable to rent out.

Free parking, good location

Bathroom was not clean when we arrived - bin was not emptied and there was hair in the showerdrain which blocked the water from going down the drain. Bed was a bit too soft so it bent when sleeping on it. Room was much more worn down and smaller than on the images. Would not go back for this, which is a shame since the location is very convinent.

The hotel is a lovely traditional building in a great part of Biarritz. From the moment we arrived, the staff (this is a family run hotel) were polite, friendly and helpful. Our room was large and comfortable and the beautiful little garden was a calm and green oasis.The location is brilliant- a few minutes walk from Plage du Miramar- and a short few steps from bus stops in either direction. There is a ‘foodie’ area just around the corner with delis, cafes and bars which sell a range of delicious treats. This is called St Charles…I think. We loved the patisserie there and called on the way to the beach for gorgeous savoury and sweet items. Breakfast at the hotel offers a good range of savoury and sweet choices - eggs, ham, cheese, fresh bread, croissants, local cakes, pancakes, cereal, fruit etc etc. Breakfast is very relaxed- you can sit as long as you like and help yourself to hot drinks and food. It’s also lovely to eat in the garden and staff offer a tray to take items to the table. We loved the fact it was a nice stroll into town and was situated well for exploring in either direction- up to the lighthouse or across into town and beyond. Biarritz was amazing - with stunning beaches, beautiful villas around every corner and a much more friendly and chilled out feel than we were expecting. There are so many different places to stop for drinks or food- some traditionally basque/ French and some serving cuisine from around the world. We explored Biarritz on foot - covering an average of 20000 steps each day. The climate was fabulous and the stay was such a treat with so much to see. We felt very relaxed after our stay and would love to return to Val Flores.

Size of room and bathroom was more than enough. Beds were very comfortable. Location was great not too far from centre of BiarittzStaff were very friendly and extremely helpful

No aircon meant rooms were extremely hot, we were there during a heatwave of plus 30 degrees. A fan was provided but this was quite noisy.Would have enjoyed a kettle and cups ion the room in order to make beverages

The rooms are extremely small and there is a fan in the room that takes up all the space. Truly a gem of a building that needs are renovation!

Family owned hotel, Very frendly.It was very clean, even if quite basic.Breakfast is good, there’s also a small dehors outside where you can have breakfast

No lift, but the staff was very Kind and carried my luggage to 2nd floor

Very good location, close to the centre and beach. Nice neighborhood. Very nice staff, good franch breakfast. Old house with some wear and tear on places, but nice house planing. We had large rooms (family room with two rooms in it), comfortable beds and nice pillows. Thank you for the wonderful stay! Worth the money.

Noises and no air conditioning

Room was listed as an en suite double room. We have stayed in many hotels over the years and can honestly say that this room would better be described as a single. En suite was minute. Access to the room was via an outdoor concrete stairway which was not lit. We had booked a four night stay and would have thought that the owner would have highlighted the fact that the room wasn’t suitable for our stay. We left a day earlier than booked as couldn’t stand being in the room for another night. Must also state that temperatures were in the 30’s during our visit and such a small room with no Air conditioning was unbearable.

I was starting the Camino and decided to stay in Biarritz for the first night.The location of the hotel was brilliant, a short walk to the city centre (10 minutes) and to the beach. The hotel is on the older side but comfortable, clean and enough for one night. The room I stayed in was quite small but had everything I needed for a short stay. The shower was nice and the internet was good. The lady at the reception was very polite and helpful. I would definitely recommend it for a short stay.
