Parking and getting to the hotel by car as difficult to find

Perfect location to explore Biarritz. Nice and spacious room with balcony overlooking the square and with a view to the sea.

Toilet was ultra small, breakfast selection was rather limited.

Location is perfect! The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the shower was nice.

Room was pretty small and didn’t have the boutique vibe I expected. Breakfast was a disaster for €14 each definitely not worth it.

The staff at the Hotel de l’Ocean were exceptional. So helpful, so friendly, so kind. We added on an extra day to our stay, and the wonderful staff went out of their way to make the move into the new rooms easy. We started in the three bed family room for the first part, which was a little squeezy for three adults, probably better suited to parents with younger children, but it was fine. We finished with two separate rooms looking over the plaza, one with a massive king size bed, the other with a queen size bed but also had a fridge. The hotel has had renovations fairly recently so rooms and bathrooms were nice and modern. And the location was perfect. On the plaza, restaurants galore in the area, shopping, the beach in two directions, supermarket was a brisk uphill walk away, not far from the markets. Superbe!

There wasn’t enough towel hanging space in the family room. We had bath towels and beach towels to manage. Also couldn’t get the heated towel rails to turn on, but that might have been because it was mid summer and they weren’t operational, or I just couldn’t figure it out. A small fridge would have been nice to keep milk and cheese fresh.

Great location, with underground parking nearby. Very comfortable room and good restaurant downstairs. Extremely efficient and friendly staff.

Wonderful view from sea-facing bedroom with delightful balcony. Superb central location next to sea - convenient for all activities. Charming and very helpful staff. Good value. Tasty meals and great service from hotel cafe outside in square.

Machine produced as opposed to fresh coffee and tea for breakfast. Could cafe staff organize this?Slow draining from bedroom basin.

The bath/shower was exceedingly small and extremely dangerous to use and access. There will be a serious accident there before long.

The room was very calm, looking on the Church Ste. Eugénie. Chimes were no disturbance. Clean bathroom, good bed, safe, blinds…

The room was very small. Problems to place suitcase right or to move about freely.

The location is amazing in the main square, less than a minute's walk to the beach and very close to the beautiful harbour. The staff are very friendly and helpful, letting us leave our luggage and very helpful with the parking access while the town was pedestrianised. They even called ahead of time to let us know the best place to park. The building is beautiful and classic.

It would be nice to have a rooftop terrace option (although to be fair, if you have a balcony you wouldn't need this!) and the rooms weren't overly well sound-proofed through the doors. The bathroom was very small and not much space to open our luggage.

If you want to be in Biarritz in the top place of the whole city, with one of the best views you can get, looking at the beach when you wake up, this is your place! Also, all the amenities are next to the hotel and it will take you literally 5 minutes to go anywhere. The main beach is also super accessible walking distance and the vibrant city centre, restaurants, the market(highly recommended to go for lunch), are also walking distance.Definitely your place if you value distance from city centre and all the local amenities.

Well, if you go by car, fist issue, there is a parking in front of the hotel, but it gets busy super quick, be aware. Also not very cheap. The rooms are all right, but if you are a "big" person, you will not fit easily in the shower and also the room space is more a budget hotel rather than the premium you are paying. Hot water is either Satan's temperature or Ice Age and to go up and down, you can choose from a 50's elevator, that it gives you the feeling is going to fall in pieces at any second, or the good old wooden stairs, which will give you a hell of a creepy creaky noise at every single step.

Location is great. Price is expensive. Breakfast is basic, no hot food offered for €30 a head.

Bedrooms are small, en suites are tiny, my partner couldn’t get in the door of the shower, no bed side tables. Air conditioning is noisy. Breakfast is very basic for €30 per person, you don’t get offered any hot food. Main toilets in the hotel had no toilet paper are didn’t seem clean. No water in the bedrooms or a fridge.

Beautiful decor, very clean comfortable rooms. Excellent location with parking nearby.Receptionist extremely helpful with lots of tips. All the staff were very friendly

Bathroom area was clean. However small feedback:Bathroom presentation would be better with brighter lighting options.Shower product was available but not topped up in our room. And surprised that hair shampoo and conditioner products were not provided.

Location is perfect. The market, the beach, the center, the aquarium, restaurants, all nearby within a few hundred yards. Parking entry at 25 yards. Staff is very kind and helpfull.

I didn't like the restaurant that much but good for a snack and a glass on the terrasse.
