quiet place

I booked the room in 23.30, it was written on booking that since you book this hotel, it will be impossible to cancel it. After the reservation the hotel sent me a message that booking is confirmed and how to reach the hotel by car. In 00.30 I came to the hotel, parked my car and went to the front desk office. It was closed, it was dark insife and ringing didn't help. It was an announcement on the door (printed on the hotel firm paper and laminated in plastic, means it was NOT temporarial, they put it often or may be every night), saying: "Tonight under the emergency reasons we do not have night receptionist, she will be present only in 06.00 in the morning, you can call us ...and the local tel. number". On booking. con web site it is written that the hotel reception works 24 hours. So, imagine, you are foreigner, without local sim-card, closed reception, nobody present, no people nearby, even the airport closed, no any signals of life nearby like on the cemetry at night! What to do. After 1 hour of attemts to find somebody alife 5 miles nearby I found out that "Ibis" hotel has a night receptionist who helped me and and called to personal number of the "Sure" hotel worker. After 10 minutes she came at worked and gave me a key. I came in my room only in 3.00 at night. It was unacceptable behavior of the personel to go to sleep wlile it is announced 24 hours of reception is open! You should not work in such a way. And 50 percent back for that tremendous night is not enough price of how people suffer because of your unproffesionalism!

The staff at reception were friendly and helpful.Breakfast room was clean and tidy, good breakfast selection.The bed was comfortable; air-condition works well.

The room/s could use updating; stain on the flooring specially in the bathroom.Parking is very limited; good luck finding a spot.

Staff were very friendly, location was great, easy to find. Dinner in restaurant was value for money and very tasty. Breakfast was very good, plenty of choice. Would definitely stay again.

Stairs - as you get older your knees complain about the stairs!

The only hotel in walking distance from the Biarritz airport. Do not miss the hotel breakfast with local cheese, yogurt, crepes and a latte machine.

Walking distance to the airport. Short bus ride, no 8 bus, from opposite the train station.

Noisy during the night

Super friendly staff, who speak English which makes it so much easier for Scotsman who had tried but struggles with another language. Stored my bike box for 12 days while I cycled Pyrenees. Only 300 m , 10 min walk from airport. Great breakfast good evening meal. Lewis the manager could not have been more helpful. A corporate Chsin with a family business feel to it

Didn't like too much about this hotel and would not stay again, definitely not recommended. Breakfast was average continental style.

I booked a Standard Queen Room and was given a very average room on the ground floor, which I requested due to not being able to climb the many outside stairs. A little surprised when we arrived, as the hotel looks a little like a prison. Paid 10 euros for the dog, which is average price. The room was small and not very well furnished. I had several mosquito bites the next day, which I haven't had elsewhere. Location not very desirable.

Fresh air, my window was on ground floor and had no screen protection so I had to sleep with the windows shut and it was stuffy.

Staff were all very friendly. Nice evening meal. Room, bar and dining areas all seemed very clean. Good got shower. Very close to airport, easily within walking distance.

Room was ok but felt a bit boxy. No cold water in basin, toilet didn't flush well. We could hear people in neighbouring rooms.

Staff members were friendly and helpful and the room itself functional, with comfy beds. Breakfast area was very pleasant. Despite its location it is a very quiet hotel and we had a good rest.

There was a very strong smell coming from the bathroom, apparently reported by previous guests as well. The bathroom could do with some thorough cleaning (i.e. hair-dryer cable was covered with mold).

Easy to find - easy access from French road system . Reception and breakfast area well presented.

Slightly noisy ( sound penetration) in rooms. Lighting too dim - room had low ceiling making it look small.

It was close to the airport. Had a nice dinner menu. Clean rooms.

Location near airport and bus transport could not have been better. 5mins walk to each.

Ideal location and very suitable for an in transit stopover.
