The property is absolutely gorgeous. One of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed.
I wish they offered tastings of their wine, maybe a welcome glass, perhaps a happy hour with overview of the region, the wines they make, what is special about each wine, something that acknowledged that it's a pretty pricey place which people travel to specifically for the wine and the region.
Everything. One thing to add is the restaurant: it's outstanding and with a great view. Not cheap, but outstanding, and seldomly mentioned on the reviews.
nothing!
Very nice and modern hotel, beautiful view. Good breakfast and dinner
Amazing view and facilities. Upscale room that was very clean and comfortable. Staff were very freindly and professional.
Receptionist excellent as all of the staff were.Great three course meal and great breakfast.
Location and views are stunning. Staff were lovely and helpful. The food and wine were excellent. Room was really comfortable and lovely to have seating right outside. In fact there are seating areas everywhere. The pool was beautiful.
The single track twisty road up could be interesting if you met anyone coming the other way. Hopefully, the traffic light system stops that happening!
The views of the river and surrounding vineyards was mesmerizing and the property so peaceful, tranquil and romantic. Highly recommend it to any couple. The wine and port tasting was very good. Staff was very attentive, the pool cool refreshing and the view! Please enjoy a gourmet meal from the restaurant on the terrace!
-fantastic location and surroundings-great service-great dinner-stunning wines, both the traditional port wines as well as their gamma of dry reds and whites
-rooms are on the small side
Fantastic view and peaceful location out of the way of the busy tour groups
Staff were a bit inattentive, no service at the pool despite ringing the bell. Shop not attended to. No bar service out of meal times.
This place is amazing. The photos don't do enough justice. Everything was great: the staff, the room, the view, the wine, the tranquillity. We were really sorry that we couldn't stay another day.
The location has incredibly beautiful views. The layout of the rooms looking onto the gardens radiated a peaceful atmosphere.
The road going up to the Quinta was a challenge.
Wonderful view on the river and vineyard.Very nice pool (but I could not use due to bad weather).Very good position for area exploring
Dinner in the hotel was not so good to justify the high price.
Stunning location. Very comfortable room. Nice beds. Helpful staff.
Parking garage with insanely tight for the oversized SUV Avis stuck me with.
I would come back here and stay for as many nights as my itinerary allows any time. We only stayed one night, tragically, but since we arrive by 3pm we were able to actually swim in and sit by the pool (mid-April) for a few hours, all with the most spectacular view of the river, valley and vineyards.Enjoyed socializing poolside with other guests. The room was very comfortable with easy access outside to the impeccable grounds. Bathroom was great. Breakfast was great. The views from every angle were great. The weather was great. The driveway was great and the parking was, too. The gourmet dinner was terrific and my wife said that their wine was the best that she's ever had anywhere in the world.
The facility (outdoor pool wasn't heated, but we enjoyed it) The welcoming Port wine was an unexpected touch, and the setting (environment) is magnificent. Staff was helpful, friendly, and kind.
Breakfast was only at 8:00am, so we had a bag Breakfast that was not very good ( stale bread sandwich and pear)
Incredible location, breathtaking property and wonderful staff!!! Thank you for everything! I will
Please add a sign to inform drivers not to stop on the driveway as it turns the light off at the bottom. We had a terrible time to back up when we met a car half way up. We had to back down which was frightening!
Idyllic Quinta, very nice breakfast, wonderful dinners, truly gourmet.Close to Pinhão and many wineries.
Driveway is a bit of a challenge through the terraces. This didn’t bother us as we are used to steep Caribbean driveways, but someone unfamiliar with steep and narrow may be intimidated.
