Palatino Hotel

Palatino Hotel staff was helpful and friendly with every request. The junior suite room was spacious and our city side view balcony was relaxing. The buffet breakfast was very good, and the location is extremely walkable to all the nightlife.

There is no fitness center, despite what the Oriceline listing says.

I really liked the staff, the location, the fact that it had parking! The rooms were comfortable, just a bit outdated, but good for a good night’s sleep!

The bathroom needed some updating. The tub wasn’t draining well, the position of the shower head made such that we sometimes had a bit of a mess in the bathroom. Breakfast was okay.

Good location,helpful staff,very convenient to park my car .Zakinthos was so crowded and park car easy is very important.

The hotel is a little dated .

This would be a two star motel in the USA.

The hotel is run down, dirty, not in an ideal location, and WAY overpriced. This would be a 2 star motel in the US.

Best value for money. Large rooms with balconies, at the edge of the town (with parking space all around, yet within walking distance from all points of interest), clean, modern, and variety in breakfast.

I can hardly think of anything that didn't meet my expectations.

Hard to tell...

When we arrived, the elevator was not working, no one offered to help us or asked if we needed help so we carried by ourselves our 3 suitcases and backbags to the first floor.Not so nice hospitality, and since the hotel failed to provide a basic service, we should arrange for an alternative!The elevator was not working till the next morning at 09.30 when we checked out.Housekeeping lady was making a lot of noise at 08.00 in the morning when cleaning next room so we had to get out in corridor to ask her to make less noise!Our room was a Sea View room but during check-in in receptionist tried to tell us he upgraded us in a nice Sea View room but when I told him out original reservation was for a SV room only thing he said was " Oh yeah "To be honest I don't think this was a SV room as we could hardly see the sea but more easy we could see the balconies from next building and unfinished constructions of the hotel ( photo attached).Good luck if you choose this hotel, we will definitely NOT as service and room characterization at least it is problematic!

Shower was a bit disappointing….old attachment and we both got a fright when the showerhead fell out of the bracket

The tap water, shower water is salty.. i couldn’t turn the lights off without removing the key card..

Hotel is a bit outside of the city. (port is about 5 minutes by foot, so easy to reach) Beach is literally about 100-200 meter away.

I requested a quit room in advance which was confirmed via booking.com. My room was highest floor but facing a school playground. So you could hear literally about 100+ children screaming outside from 8am until 2-3 pm.

Good breakfast, with attentive staff; great location (everything close by); updated room during second stay; on-site restaurant and bar with a lovely manager; pleasant, helpful reception staff; opposite a small pebble beach (parasol and two loungers at 12 euros); good setting-off point for your travels around Zakynthos and ferry trips to Kefalonia and the mainland.

Needed more towel hooks in the shower room.

Breakfast is nice and tasty, you can also order tasta/pizza etc. after lunch and dishes are tasty too. Staff is very welcoming and friendly.Location is really good, beautiful beach is just 1 minute walking from the hotel, restaurants and cafes are 5 minutes walking from the hotel, room was not really big but nice and cozy.The only thing worth mentioning is that there is a school nearby and from 8am you may hear kids playing outside so if you would like to sleep up to the lunch - they may wake you up to go outside and enjoy Zakynthos. But during the night it's calm and quiet.

Breakfast was good. Great location for the town centre. Beach area opposite hotel. First room was a little dated but clean and comfortable. Second room was modern and clean and comfortable. Both with A/C. Lovely cleaning staff.

Need more hooks in the bathroom for towels.

The location of the hotel was perfect, close to the Beach. The view from the room was also really good, looking at the sea. The breakfast was good as well.

The staff from the reception and from the restaurant were amazing, breakfast was great, my girlfriend really liked the pancakes, the location was also great, the room was nice and modern with a large TV, a safe and a mini fridge, The bed, even though it was made out of two beds put together and a small mattress added on top, it was huge and very comfortable. I also liked the panel where you can select to not be disturbed by housekeeping and they can see from outside if you are in the room or not. Lighting in the room is great, and can be controlled from the bed on each side. the balcony entrance has 3 slides (one is a metal slide with little holes so air can pass in but no light, second is a netting to not let insects in and the last one is a glass door. Bathroom and towels were nice, it has also a hairdryer and shampoo/shower gel and soap which are resupplied daily if you use them.

We really did not like the salty water from the tap and shower, i believe it's everywhere on the island and that's how it is but our skin was itchy every day :). Another minor thing was that even though we asked for a quiet room (which we did get, as it was the last room on the far side of the hotel on a top floor) and also the room is very soundproof, you can still hear a lot of noise from the hallway, through/under the the door, first 3-4 days was alright but then some loud neighbors checked in and it was a bit hard to sleep until after 12 PM. At 7 AM the noise would start again, and I think it was also from house keeping. It's not a deal breaker though as it still is one of the quietest Hotel i ever stayed in, you just gotta get lucky with the other people next to you and also I wake up at the slightest sounds :).

The location is excellent, in Zante Town, close to shops, restaurants, and the port, and ideal for dinners, long walks, and a little bit of shopping. We had a room with a sea view - with a small balcony which was a delight. The view - especially the sunrise and sunset - from the balcony was stunning! The breakfast was great, and the staff was very friendly! There was a daily cleaning routine, with daily change of towels, fresh water and shower products. There is a small beach across the street from the hotel - with wonderful water but no sand, only full of rocks - water shoes are a must!

There is nothing to mention regarding the hotel.
