Pros +
- We liked everything Specially the staff They were excellent and extremely helpful finding us places to have dinner and making us reservations
- Breakfast was incredible. Enjoyed the spa facilities. The rooms were very well furnished and very luxurious. What one would expect for the price.
- The setting. Great location to explore the regions amazing wines and to then spend the rest of the time relaxing at the Monastery - is complete bliss. While on the premises, the actual chapels are amazing to tour. Take advantage of the Spa. Definitely worth a long weekend of chill.
Cons -
- The only part we didn’t appreciate it was that they close the entire downstairs gastro bar for a private party for few people The rest of the guests were not allowed to enjoy the rest of night just to have a drink
- Everything was wonderful... wish we could have stayed longer.
- It is very remote. You really need a car if you want to go to other places.

It is a very relaxing atmosphere and the staff are amazing!
It is very remote. You really need a car if you want to go to other places.
Beautiful rooms and property. Wonderful pool spa. The concierge, Carlotta, was excellent with wonderful recommendations for bodegas. Great hike along the river behind the hotel.
The food at the casual restaurant was mediocre
The hotel is very well located, beautiful and impressive. However, for the price, the rooms fall short. The meals are not good, and some staff members provide very poor service. In particular, the Gastrobar restaurant is disappointing, with terrible service.
We loved the spa and outdoor swimming pool. The breakfast was great with great variety. The bed is comfortable and the "layout" of the room is amazing.
The AC of the room was not working properly... the room was really hot and very difficult to have a good sleep.
I loved the room, it was clean, comfortable and spacious!
Not much to do around the resort.
Beautiful remodeling of this gorgeous monastery. Very comfortable rooms. Spa and pools were superb. Food was very good. And service top notch.
We liked everything.
Beautiful space, excellent food, relaxing spa access, good location in the wine region
Thermal Pool is very nice, Rooms are excellent and the best restaurant is the one that is casual and you can sit outside. The other one is not all that is hyped up to be in the website.
Beautiful and convenient to wineries. Great food and drinks at the bar restaurant. Rooms were spacious and well appointed. Walk or in along the river is a must, as well as the Termal.
The gym needs a major upgrade to both equipment and finishes.
The property itself self was breathtaking. The grounds, pools, the building were like something out of a movie.
The staff was rather rude and not overly helpful. When you spend the money on a 5 star hotel you expect a certain level of care from the staff and we did not see that here.
Castilla termal was superb. It is a living museum. The monastery dates on 1100 it has a museum a church chapel with original paintings. The services spa heated pool and amazing food makes this place unforgettable.
We love everything
This is the 3rd time we stayed at the property and its simply wonderful. The rooms are a great size and the beds are comfortable. The spa is very good and enjoyed it, We had dinner at the restaurant it was delicious. Breakfast is amazing with a huge spread of all kinds of ham, cheese, salads, fruits. mimosas etc. and they also offer an a la carte menu and the breakfast is included in the rate as well as parking, This is a beautiful property that I recommend highly if you go to the Riviera del Duero wine region.
Beautiful and spotless. The staff consistently exceeds expectations, going above and beyond to provide exceptional service. The wine tasting was amazing—the sommelier was extremely knowledgeable. Restaurante Monasterio was excellent. The room was spacious, and they even offer a pillow menu. Their spa products are top-notch.
Everything was perfect.
The pool area, the rooms, and the property is beautiful
My room was very hot and I was told the entire property was controlled centrally (they do not turned on this time of the year). The restaurant could have more variety of choices. The Pool area does not have a jacuzzi that the water temperature would go higher than 26C. Also it was disappointing that sauna was not open all the time and had an additional charges.
A stunning property from the 12th century, impeccably preserved. All the infrastructure is in excellent condition, and the staff is incredibly friendly and professional
On the downside, the à la carte restaurant does not meet the standards one would expect from a hotel of this caliber—limited options and not truly gourmet. Breakfast was also below expectations; for instance, the jamón was of surprisingly poor quality, which is quite unexpected in Spain
Beautiful restored monastery in a scenic locationFabulous spa facilitystaff were generally fantastic
Air conditioning wasn’t switched on for our staySome bad odours from nearby farms
Breakfast was absolutely amazing. Staff was great. Spa was perfect and monastery is gorgeous. The room was confortable with a bathtube and a large shower. It is was absolutely quiet at night and very dark so we could sleep in. The sidewalk by the river and the vineyard is smooth and nice. The bistro "gastrobar" is the best option
The proper restaurant was not as nice as we imagined but the other bistrot option was great for what we needed.
