    Pros +

    • Location Comfort SPA
    • Check in was very easy and the receptionist was very accomodating. The spa was a lot of fun and very relaxing! I enjoyed the array of different thermal options and the hammam was perfect. Beautiful interior, Art Deco motif. Great location, the canal view room was a good size and comfortable. Fluffy towels!
    • I really liked the privilege room, it was large, clean and well equipped. The lobby was awesome, and the staff were friendly. The location is top-notch, close to the city center.

    Cons -

    • The hotel could definitely use some upgrades, she looks a little worn down. I had read that parking was an issue, so we packed only a small bag each for the 2 night stay which helped out a lot. Online info for the spa was very difficult to maneuver through, website could definitely use an upgrade as far as services and available times you can book online. We couldn't really call ahead to book services as there was no menu! Everything was booked other than spa entry when we arrived, but the spa was enough in and of itself.
    • We thought Les Thermes are included in the price, but they weren't.The parking is a bit far from the hotel and is expensive.I could recommend this hotel for one night stay in the beautiful city of DAX, but with the price we paid, it's not worth it.
    • Visibly old rooms in need if renovation. A man at the front desk is dismissive.

It is a beautiful art deco hotel. The room was spacious, comfortable and nicely decorated. The bathroom was also very nice.

    Beautiful and relaxing spa.

Visibly old rooms in need if renovation. A man at the front desk is dismissive.

This is a lovely hotel in the centre of town and dog friendly too.Our room was spacious.

The spa is only open at restricted times.

    10PaulinePosted on: 2-24-2025

The room was exceptional. The bathroom was stunning and so clean

The parking instructions weren't clear. We traveled around the hotel 3 times before finding the parking (using Sat Nav). A map on the hotel page would be useful, or a link.

Lovely hotel - Art deco style. Very friendly and courteous staff. They upgraded us for a small fee. Great facilities and Spa. Would recommend.

Parking was an issue - we had to pay for a car park a few blocks away.

Beautiful hotel in the heart of Dax, good atmosphere, clean, spacious and comfortable room with lovely staff

A glorious edifice of a hotel

I felt it was being run on a budget, lots of small details could have been better: no towels given for the spa, many trainees, no snacks with drinks, loo paper cheap, breakfast a bit ‘middle quality’ etc.

    Hotel delightful

Access to the hotel for disabled unacceptable - management now subject of a complaint to group owners, the Ministry for the Disabled and the Police.BEST AVOIDED IF YOU HAVE MOBILITY ISSUES

Lovely room. Been here 2 years ago. Great Spa of course

No towels in Spa. Both days!

Good buffet breakfast. Fantastic entrance lobby. Very good meal in the restaurant.

Parking is down the road in a covered car park & you have to pay. But we did know in advance.

Space everywhere is impressive. Entrance hall and restaurant are particularly spacious and comfortable. Even our room (comfort), which was the smallest available, was enormous compared with other hotel rooms at this price point. Generally the space, decor and service support a feeling of luxurious 1920s extravagant comfort.

Just three minor points:1. If you're a rather large person take your own bathrobe to access the spa - available sizes during our visit were too small for us.2. For one evening meal we ordered a particular wine but then the waiter brought a totally different wine. We clarified our order, but then the waiter brought back the same mistaken bottle and insisted that the wine he had was what we ordered. Finally we convinced another waiter to bring us the wine we ordered. There's a world of difference between our order of a Chateau Hospital (Graves from Bordeaux) and a St Nicolas de Bourgueil (Loire valley). Maybe the two bottles were near each other in a list on his electronic order tablet and he inadvertently clicked the wrong one.3. Near the end of the meal a waiter invited us to go to the cash desk to pay our bill. Since I was still eating my desert and planned on having coffee and Armagnac, we found this to be an odd request at 21:10 when the restaurant was open until 21:30 and there were still many other diners.

Very spacious room in a grand Art Deco hotel. Fantastic Spa facilities, great breakfast, very kind staff. We could safely store our bikes.

    Nothing comes to mind!

    6ThomasPosted on: 8-17-2024

Beautiful architecture, comfy spacious rooms. The spa is very nice with sauna, floating pool, pool with strong jets and a few more.

Breakfast quality has lowered since our previous visit one year earlier. It's a pity to see such an iconic hotel deliver a miserable breakfast. No dogs allowed in the dining room of a pet friendly hotel doesn't make any sense.

    9BusymummyPosted on: 8-17-2024

Room was very smart. They provided large towel robes and slippers in the room. Liked having a large bathroom with separate toilet. Also room featured a safe and a fridge. Room was immaculately clean. Dinner at the restaurant was delicious with a varied menu. Our waiter Omar couldn't have done more. Spa was Devine. We would definitely visit Dax again but maybe for longer.

    10ColinPosted on: 7-2-2024

The room was much larger than I had expected, with high ceilings and big windows. The bathroom was a good size and the shower pressure was really good. There was plenty of space to hang clothes and store luggage. The location is central and a good base to wander round the town. The food in the restaurant was extremely good and the wine list was extensive. The terrace bar was great and shaded from the evening sun, which was a bonus on my visit. The public areas and the room were extremely clean and the staff were friendly and courteous.I had an early start and they were happy to arrange for a taxi to get me to the station on time and were explicit on where I needed to be when the taxi arrived. Overall, it was a great stay and I would have no hesitation in staying here again.

There was nothing that I had any issue with.

As usual, everything! The breakfast is great, the bedroom was beautiful, the bed so comfortable, the deco perfect and the spa is wonderful!

No conditioner in the bathroomThe coffee machine was broken during breakfast

    Pleasant

Dirty. Hairs and stains inside the bed. Bathroom also needs some deep cleaning.
