Fabulous view but would?ve preferred the balcony in stead of the dormer

Dinner service is quite pricy but not an issue with other available options

Very nice hotel- I liked the glass fronted restaurant and bar. Excellent breakfast.

The hotel was not very full because it was off-season. We ended up on the back side of the hotel in a room with no view. As a gesture of good will and customer service, I would have expected to be put in a room with a view. Not a big deal but a nicety.

The hotel was beautiful and the room was open and extremely clean and comfortable. The hotel staff was very welcoming as well. The restaurant provided a wonderful fine dining experience, as the breakfast buffet was incredible with countless choices.

Cozy, nice breakfast, free do-it-yourself laundry, close to everything, great location, friendly and helpful staff, terrific room with balcony, nearby parking, we loved everything!

This is petty, but wish there was Kleenex (tissue) in bathroom. I have sinus problems! And, we're not from CT (Connecticut), we're from California! (See below.)

old style bathtub was beautiful but not user friendly as it was extremely difficult to avoid getting water all over the bathroom. reception desk could be a bit more friendly.

What a great location ! Staff was nice, clean room. We were staying in the old portion of the hotel, the charm is really the antique look. The location is perfect near the fjord, you have to get the hot sauna close by and jump in the cold fjord during the winter. Really cozy lobby, had a few drinks near the fireplace. Everything around the hotel is for you to relax and have a good time.

The beds could be more confortable.

Great location and super nice staff. Loved the view and the breakfast was beyond fabulous. Liked all the lounge options.

The location of the hotel is convenient. Housekeeping was prompt and quick in cleaning the room. I did not have to wait for housekeeping to clean the room which is common in most hotels.

The water pressure was fantastic. Loved the view from the balcony and the extra pillows.

History, proximity, views.

Room was not clean….floor not swept from previous guests. Lack of amenities for the room rate.

A very good location, nice hotel nice staff, but a lousy breakfast. Also the problem is that for dinner. It's a buffet only if you don't eat a lot of food it's a waste of time.

The choice for dinner was only for a buffet which we don't eat a lot of food so it was expensive not worth the money. Should have an à la carte dinner.

The hotel rooms are old. I think it needs renovation. Plenty of lacking facilities

Great location. Room was simple but clean.

Expensive. Not a great value but, options are limited in Flam so they can charge what they want. We had a room next to the restaurant, the noise made it impossible to get any sleep after 6 am.

Convenient to Fram railway and fjord tours. Very comfortable and cozy.

The location was great. Room was a good size and comfortable. Breakfast choices were numerous and good. View was fantastic. Check in was very efficient.

The bed was very small and the ceiling around the dormer(which provided a great view) was very difficult. We both hit our heads on the slanting ceiling.

Atmosphere was wonderful. Old-fashioned feel but still modern facilities. Beautiful view. The best location in Flam with easy walking distance everywhere. Our dinner in the hotel dining room was delicious and one of better meals of our 14 day trip. We had the steak and salmon. Breakfast was great!

A phone in the room would have been nice. Since we are an older couple, that always concerns me when I don't feel that I can contact someone quickly.

Great location. Very nice dining, reception and bar area.

Our room had an odor, the bathroom had a clawfoot tub with partial shower curtain. Water drained from the floor of the bathroom. There was no slip prevention in the tub, no bar to hold onto and the bathroom floor was wet. It was hazardous.

At 6’2” high, I found the bed too small even though the booking info led us to believe it would be fine.

Way overpriced for the room we had! Mattress was terrible, highest point at the foot, definite low in the middle. No refrigerator in the room, and no phone to call reception. Dinner buffet at the main restaurant was ridiculously high priced, and the mid-priced restaurant was booked until 8 pm. Breakfast buffet was average at best (for Norway, this country has amazing breakfast buffets!).
