Hotel Village Balatura - exclusive VEGGIE

Went with my vegan and gluten free girlfriend. Of course, she was in heaven in regards to the food offerings. Family run hotel with personalized service, clean rooms, great WiFi.

Charming and unique place, beautifully renovated with artistic touch. A small, remote collection of houses in an impressive mountain surroundings. Great hosts with a good breakfast, good value for the money and a good experience overall.

A little more attention to room maintenance is needed. Vegan dinner is OK but way overpriced.

I was just passing through on a motorcycle and had to stay at this place as it looked so charming! I absolutely loved the hotel, the room, the pool and the staff. This place really only has vegan food which is not my thing, but the staff recommended a nearby seafood restaurant which was also a nice experience and probably the best meal I had in Croatia.

Staff were lovely - attentive and friendly. Food was excellent. Stayed one night but could have stayed longer to enjoy the swimming pool etc.

Nothing of note

This is a spectacular property with traditional architecture of stone houses and country chic decor. Couldn’t be better for relaxation in beautiful surroundings.

The staff is extremely friendly and, the breakfast was superb. Location is also perfect, everything is easy to find and labeled correctly. I really like the look of the hotel, it is definitely something else.

No air conditioning in the room. We were also in a room with no balcony, so it got very hot during the night, which made sleeping quite difficult. There is also no minibar, which would be a nice addition, so you can get a cold beverage right away.

Very nice and calm location. Very comfortable room. Friendly and supportive staff.

Swimming pool was not clean, neither daily cleaned.Vegetarian diner was expensive for the served food/quality.

Everything was perfect for us. Room, Dinner, LunchAmazing set in the evening and the whole village is just beautiful. We really loved our stay!

Just be aware that are a lot of mosquitos around the pool area. It’s nature! But you will be bitten ?

The staff and the detail to that property was very good! The owners are very focused on the well being of the guests! Breakfast was very good. There is an event every friday kind of a talk, which was very nice and entertaining.

We had dinner as well - the pad Thai was amazing. Breakfast had a really large selection and was also delicious. The service from everyone was fantastic- great local wine suggestions!

Just a heads up - the listing says air conditioning, but it is only desk fans in the rooms. If you are going in any hot weather, they’ll be extremely warm.

The staff is lovely at this hotel, the restaurant serves delicious food and very reasonably priced. The room was clean, spacious and great views of the pool. The breakfast was delicious as well and included in the price of the room. Cleaners are friendly and efficient. Lovely decor. We had a room with a pool view - would recommend this room/ other rooms that are away from the main building where the reception/ restaurant area is.

The pool is lovely however when we were there the water was very green so it does need some maintenance.

Very nice staff!! Great advices and friendly. Very nice swimming pool and there is a town and restaurants nearby. We didn’t eat at the accommodation because it was quite expensive. The breakfast was included and very delicious!!

The room was lovely, and the entire place is unique and interesting , stone and wood made buildings . We appreciated the silence and the free parking.

The pool is small and has a lot of chemicals, making swimming difficult. Additionally, we were disappointed to find that the restaurant only offered vegan food, despite the description indicating that there would be other options. As a result, we were unable to have dinner on site and there were no facilities in the room for us to eat our own food.After a tiring day of travel, we had to go to the city for dinner. The hotel staff offered to book a restaurant for us, but it turned out to be the most expensive restaurant we had been to so far, even more so than in Saint Tropez, Cannes, and Verona where we got more for less money.To add to our dissatisfaction, the cleaning staff entered our room in the morning without asking for permission and while my husband was naked. Overall, we did not feel very welcome in Croatia and we are sorry to say so.

AC and fridge needed in the bedrooms during such hot weather. The WIFI connection kept dropping out.
