Albergo Gardesana

The room was a little small but very functional. Well decorated and appointed. The view of the lake from the room was wonderful. The breakfast was everything you could want. Attentive staff. Spectacular room with white table cloths with views of the little harbor and lake. The location of this hotel is great as it is located in the heart of Torri del Benaco. Steps away from the ferry for a day trip on the lake.

It was difficult finding the parking lo when arriving by car. Their webste and instructions should let guests know that the driveway/entrance is next to the Post Office on the SR249.

A beautiful, historic property. Very clean but with historic charm.

Unfortunately the restaurant was closed during our stay. There were still plenty of other places to eat!

Elegant luxury hotel in great location overlooking small harbour and fort. Surrounded by quiet lakeside restaurants. Lovely staff. Love the terrace bar at the front which is a great place to people watch. Large aircon rooms. Great breakfast on the first floor terrace overlooking the lake.

Ferry schedule is less than Garda which is 10min drive south . Some nearby beeches need prior reservation .

I’m uncertain if Torri, the restaurant, is part of the hotel or not but I do not recommend it. While the food was fine, service was rushed and not what you’d expect if it was part of the hotel. Be expected to know everything you want, from drinks/wine, and for each course of your meal. Fine if they time everything for you but my starter arrived before wine was delivered. And main course before starter was finished. The waiters were talking to each other clear across the room about a problem, which made all guests hush up. Terrible service for what seemed such a nice place.

Great village and location. View on the port and sea. Great cocktails and breakfast. Good parking facility. Calm. Excellent service (called us before arrival, etc).

The location is great, we booked a room with view to the castle that we really enjoyed.

The furniture in the room looks cheap, thus they tried to keep an old style architecture, but they did not quite succeed in obtaining that. In contrast, the location and the breakfast room and reception lobby are nicely decorated, and in summer you can have breakfast on the terrace, which was really great.The parking lit is always full in summer and they do not have someone to organize that.

Great located at the small harbour close to historic castle. Away from busy commercial streets. Great for romantic stay.

The staff, the breakfast and the location of the hotel is what makes it truly special. I really enjoyed my stay at Albergo Gardesana and we loved our room as well. I would highly recommend. I also unfortunately forgot one of my belongings there when we left and the staff was most helpful and really helped making sure to ship it back to me. Thank you very much for everything.

Fantastic setting right on the harbour. We had a twin room with a lake view and it delivered as promised, plus the bonus of a view of the castle.Plenty to do in the little town, lots of restaurants to choose from, plus we were lucky and were there on market day (Monday).Room was spacious and clean, very comfy bed. Staff were all lovely - a big thanks to Doreen who answered many questions!Car park is a few minutes walk away, but the buggy came to collect the luggage - just be aware this only operates within certain times if you need an early start!Breakfast was varied and plentiful, with super staff.Definitely worth a visit!

The air conditioning is not great. Temperatures were 30⁰ plus when we were there, and the unit didn't really bring it down much in the room. It would be nice to have a kettle in the room, but maybe that's an English thing!
