Pros +
- The hotel comprises several houses and rooms scattered throughout the picturesque village of Megalochori. The village itself is charming, with a peaceful atmosphere and several excellent restaurants within walking distance. Our villa consisted of two cave houses connected by a half-covered small pool, an outdoor sitting area, and a lovely rooftop terrace. The design was truly unique and authentic, and my family and I greatly appreciated the spacious layout. Each house featured a separate bathroom, living room, and bedroom, which provided both comfort and privacy. Our host, Christina, was exceptionally helpful and responsive, promptly addressing any questions or requests we had during our stay.It is important to note that each house is unique in style and layout, so guests should select their accommodation carefully according to their preferences. The property is best suited for those who value authenticity and character over modern, uniform comfort. Our villa was very comfortable, though it is a renovated traditional home rather than a newly built property.
- Pretty much everything except the swimming pool didn't have warm water.
- Beautiful rustic villa, in perfect location in Megalochori
Cons -
- A few minor points to consider: one of the houses had a stone floor that was slightly uncomfortable to walk on (slippers were provided), and the pool was not heated, making it too cold to use in early October — though it would likely be ideal during the summer months.
- No breakfast, other than that. Pretty good.
- some extra things for home cooking (colander that’s all!)

Loved the quirkiness of the place and the plunge pool was very welcome. It's a quiet location and there are a few good restaurants nearby. Easy bus access to the rest of the island once you have walked up the hill to the bus stop. That's by an excellent bakery so that's fine too
Could do with a few more homely touches . Such as a cloth to clean your utensils. No plugs in the sinks. The petals keep blowing into the entrance. Not a real problem but a broom to brush it out would be good. Coffee machine but no coffee pods. Nothing serious but at the same time not difficult to fix . As I say a bit more thought needed but only a bit. Hi
Everything was exceptional!!!! The hospitality was yop, the accomodation was even more than what we anticipated, the manager was one of the sweetest ladies we have ever met, the pool cleaning crew made it a priority to not disturb our aleep whenever they came to clean our private pool...Seriously i can't suggest it enough! We're definitely visiting again!!!!
That's the thing, we liked everything!!!! ??
Beautiful location in a charming and scenic villageLovely courtyard area with a lot of potential
No hot water upon arrivalBedrooms were dark, musty, and uncomfortableOne bedroom had insects in the bed and was unusableOnly 3 of 4 bedrooms had air conditioning; none in common areasSauna didn’t work, and the hot tub wasn’t heatedSerious mosquito problem due to gaps in doorsVery poor lighting throughout the villaKitchen was minimally stocked with no cooking equipmentSpotty WiFi that only worked in certain areasUnsafe for children — access to rooftop with no railing, open pits with flimsy covers, uneven floors, etcOverall condition felt neglected, with minimal cleaning and maintenance
Tranquil location within convenient walking distance of Megalokhori centre
Internal lighting limited restricting ability to read in evenings. Could benefit from more than one comfy chair
It was just so secluded and relaxing yet just steps from the main square for restaurants, winery and view points, the Family bakers was a few mins up the road for a great breakfast. Staff delightful and could not hope for a more relaxing start to our holiday.
Could not fault a thing
Property was gorgeous. Within walking distance of the town square. Little private pool was great to cool down in, and the privacy of the villa was nice.
A little out of the way of major city centre, but easy enough to get around by public bus.
Excellent accommodation and a walk to a lovely bakery and restaurant.Has a lovely view point near by.Host was really nice and made sure we were all settled and answered any questions we had.j
Very friendly host who met us at the accommodation after we arrived. Transfer from the port and to the plane were organised for us with minimal effort. Quiet location, very private and sizeable. Coffee machine, air conditioning and pool were excellent benefits. 5 minutes walk to main square with 4-5 restaurant options and ice cream shop, 2 minute walk to bakery and bus stops. Daily cleaning service with friendly staff. We stayed with small children and felt safe though did all sleep in one room as felt we would not have heard children in the night if we had used both bedrooms due to thick walls, also needed to watch carefully around the pool. Beautiful accommodation.
Some decor was slightly tired in places e.g. chipped paint on walls. Would stay here again and recommend it for others.
Positive stuff is easy! Lovey vibe, comfy beds, great pool, nice little village.
The no cooking rule is ridiculous, no AC in half the spaces really poor for the price, no facilities for drying wet clothes, ie fold out rack. No plate drying rack, 1 small tea towel yet this is a space for 10 people. Towels were unnecessarily washed when not on floor - despite claims to be eco. Peeling plaster here and there. Room price for 10 people max and we booked for 8 but added 2 more (total 10), still used all the beds and not much else but had to pay extra anyway.
Our children absolutely loved the pool. My Wife and I thought the villa was amazing. It catered for all our Family. It was within walking distance of a fabulous restaurant called Raki. Great food and very warm welcome.
We couldn’t fault the property at all
Maria was more than accommodating and helpful for our short stay at Ducato. Organising transport and assisting when our flights were severely delayed. The property itself was beautiful and relaxing. We will be returning again 100%!
The property was clean perfect location the village is super cute you can find everything around and as always the people around are helpful and friendly.
Pool, location, service
The villa was absolutely beautiful, from the pool, to the bathroom, to the incredibly comfortable beds. If we visit Santorini again, we’re definitely staying here.
There was nothing to dislike. The villa was amazing.
Theres not mich i didnt like about the vila. It was comfortable, spacious, clean and air con was provided. Maria couldnt have been more helpful any request wasnt a problem. The cleaners did a great job everyday. The pool was cleaned every 1 to 2 days. The area outside was perfect for family fun. It was private.
There wasnt much we didnt like. The shower head kept falling down and would peobably need to be repaired but there is very kittle that i would dislike about the vila
Very charming with a nice outdoor space for lounging. Spacious with nice touches like robe and slippers. Conveniently located right in the village by restaurants, ice cream, coffee.
The shower overflowed into the small bathroom fairly easily and took a while to drain but that seems to be a common occurrence in Greece.
It’s in a perfect location, close to shops and restaurants. The villa is very private and having our own pool was amazing.
