Close to the main road, delicious food, comfortable stay, delicious breakfast

Hotel Conti Formentini is a beautiful hotel in Tarvisio, a small town in the Carnia mountains of Italy. The common areas of the hotel are very nice, elegantly furnished and with great views of the mountains around. The staff is the best part fo this hotel: everyone was really fantastic, always kind and helpful in several languages.Our room was spacious and with beautiful natural light, and the bathroom was clean and spacious.Finally the location of the hotel was good, it was possible to walk to several restaurants and cafés.

Sadly, the beds were not comfortable, and that was a problem for us (my husband suffers from a bad back, and is quite sensitive to mattresses). The amazing staff tried to fix the problem with a mattress topper, but it was sadly not much help. Further, we did not enjoy the hotel breakfast much: there was good variety, but the cakes were not very flavorful and we ended up going out to a local cafè on the second day.

It was a great time we had at Hotel EdelhofWe booked apartment, and the first thing I noticed is amazing smell of the wood inside and beautiful view on Alps. Also the apartments were super clean and equipped with all necessary stuff.Breakfasts also were decent

Lovely hotel with well appointed quiet rooms. We arrived on bicycles and the hotel provided a locked garage to keep them in. Amazing breakfast.

Perfect location, right next to the slopes. The room was clean and comfortable.The staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is more than enough.We also enjoyed the restaurant in the evening.

The single bed could be bigger. It may be OK for a small child but not for a 14 years old who is basically like an adult.Our room was quite noisy. You can hear every toilet flush above you.

The room was clean with comfortable beds. Also the location of the hotel was great, because we could go skiing directly from there. We loved the breakfast buffet too.

The staff was very good and welcoming. The food was amazing. It has a great location, very central and directly by the ski resort. I would recommend!

Excellent location with direct access to the ski slope and parking at the hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff who made our stay pleasant.

Maybe a little better internet connection (wi-fi) and a little better beds and hotel equipment. Not bad, but there is room for improvement.

Everything was great, big thanks to the owners of the hotel! The holidays went in a comfortable atmosphere, the rooms are warm, very clean, quite with all the necessities. The ski lift is in a walking distance from the hotel.

Sometimes the internet was not working properly: sometimes You don't have connection in the restaurant, sometimes You don't have it in the room, but automatically 30 min - 1 hour it appearted again ))) We had 3 rooms and only in one of them the pressure of the water in the shower was a bit low but it was a problem of only our room, I guess. The restaurant in the hotel is quite popular for tourist of the village, so if You leave the parking in the evening - till 23.00 or midnight it is almost impossible to park Your car - no dedicated/reserved places for hotel guests, but if You drop the car just in the middle of the parking - it was okey and nobody cares... )))

Great for a one night stopover with excellent food, beer and wine available in the restuarant.All of the staff were friendly with no issues for parking or check-in.Breakfast was excellent and the room very clean and comfortable.

Unfortunately it poured rain the entire day we were in Tarvisio, but fortunately our room was an extremely comfortable place to spend the day - we could even sit out on the large covered balcony; there was a small fridge to keep our lunch food and a cozy table in the corner at which to enjoy it. It's only a few minutes walk to the small downtown with shops and restaurants. We ate one night in the hotel restaurant - the food was good, but portions were a bit small for 3 hungry cyclists. Breakfast both mornings was diverse and tasty, including fresh pressed creative juice shots and bacon and eggs to order (omelettes were very good!).

The choice for breakfast was great. The surrounding view was magnificent. The local town had everything we needed and more, friendly people. The staff were only too happy to help.

Nothing to dislike.

The place has a rustic feel, but the facilities are modern. I would definitely stay again. They serve excellent if expensive dinner.

You should add some vegetables. At least tomatoes, cucumbers and lettuce

Overall experience was mediocre. Some staff members really nice and attentive, one person especially cold and distant. Room was ok for one night, nothing special. View to a large balcony that looked like it had needed a renovation years ago.

Food at the restaurant sounded promising but disappointed unfortunately. Anything that mentions ‚truffle‘ will be overloaded with truffle oil. If you don’t expect fine dining you’ll be ok.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Edelhof very much! We arrived by bike, 3 hours early before check-in time and were allowed into our room right away by a friendly lady at the desk. Excellent service! The room was spacious, the bed very comfortabele, good working airco and a lovely balcony. A retour ticket for the cable car to Monte Lussari appeared to be included in the price of the room! Again, excellent service! Mount Lussari is an absolute jewel and worth a visit.The bikes were safely parked in the garage during the night. Breakfast was excellent, with good coffee, fresh fruit, enough choice in bread, cheese and meat, and eggs. Even chia seed pudding was available.

Nothing, we enjoyed every bit of our stay.

Value for money. In my opinion it was overpriced

So very charming at all levels.Delightful staff. Beautiful room, sweet handpainted furniture. Charming bfast room with superb food. Great variety and very fresh.

The rooms and facilities were really clean, cozy and they have that pleasant rustic vibe. Staff are really friendly. The restaurant is top notch - do not go to dinner anywhere else! We enjoyed their spa as well, the sauna was great.

There wasn't anything not to like here
