Palace Hotel de Midões

The building is very grand and been beautifully restored. It's kind classy just staying somewhere that looks like this for a moderate price. If they threw in a free breakfast it would score all round ;)

It felt a bit lifeless in September in warm weather. I felt a bit like I was the only guest. Also despite the impressive cathedral roofed bedroom, the windows were to high to see out of and the view would be stunning.

Nice hotel, well decorated, and the studio room was quite spacious. The staff was helpful and friendly. They have a nice lounge and bar area for relaxing. We did not have time to use the jacuzzi tub, but it looked inviting. We had to come out to this area for an appointment nearby, and otherwise would have never seen this area of the country. The town is small and quiet, but it is well-kept, like people take pride in their houses and gardens. The Museu do Azeite is nearby and quite interesting.

The water pressure in the sink and bidet was quite low. It was OK in the shower, though.

This is a stunning hotel. Beautifully maintained and set in the stunning locality of Povoa De Midoes. The staff were wonderful and couldn't do enough for you. The beds were the comfiest I've ever slept in and the facilities were brilliant. I will definitely go back! 10/10!!!

The rooms were very hot, without any ventilation, which filled the room with condensation. Making everything damp. No extractor fan in bathroom either, so the loo roll was damp. Even the dining room was far too hot at breakfast. Washing uncomfortable. But we loved the hotel.

It was a last minute requirement as a result of missing connection and staff were very friendly and able to assist.

The only thing was their wasn't hardly any food except sandwiches or egg on toast .I'm vegetarian so I couldn't eat much

Everything was great. Manager helped us to change a room for our needs. Then they served a delicious dinner, great thanks for chef, I'd say it is one of the best Portuguese cuisine I've ate in Portugal. The interior is very comfortable and cozy. Everywhere feels that people really care and love the place where they work. Thanks, it is inspiring.

Beautiful Building, rooms, reception and bar area ac well as a fantastic outdoor sitting area. Situated in a Lovely quiet village off the beaten track. Breakfast was also really good! Staff are first class. ?Perfect really.

Nothing however If it had a pool or a small fitness room/gym it would be amazing.

Not a big selection on food, but the food are good. The room are very clean and comfortable.

A/C not working properly. Could provide glasses for drinking and bathroom for brushing teeth.

Terrific place with a high-quality make-over. Beautifully designed and furnished. Excellent facilities, great welcome that included an in-depth history of the place and of the village by a local member of staff. Very good buffet breakfast.

We could hear a couple of clients talking late in the evening from an adjoining bedroom on the same floor or a room just above. It was not as noise-insulated as advertised. Sadly there was no possibility to eat in the hotel for dinner and options were very limited in the village.
