Very friendly and polite staff. Very good breakfast. Nice view.

Very lovely end to a long day of mountain biking with the family. The staff were friendly, patient with our German, and flexible (as we needed to rebook), and the rooms were clean and cozy. We had supper in the restaurant and it was the best German food we have had, particularly the Rehe Ragout (venison stew). Very nice buffet breakfast too. Highly recommend!

This place really was exceptional! From check-in to check-out the staff were wonderful. Our room was very clean and comfortable, and had lovely panoramic views of the surrounding hills. Our meal in the restaurant outstanding (the best meal we’ve had on our holiday). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend!

Wonderful Forest location - so peaceful.The room we had with a balcony was really big and tastefully decorated. Comfy bed as well. The food was exceptional.

The staff were very friendly and while we stuggled with the language , they really did their best to communicate with us. It's obviously that they care about their guests. Also the food was fantastic!

The glass door to our bathroom was not our favourite as the toilet is directly behind it!

Staff very accommodating. Arrived after the kitchen closed but staff prepared a nice steak & salad.

Property is on the side of a hill in a small billage in the S. Black Forest. Beautiful scenery in daytime; treacherous road in at night. Roads very narrow.

Cozy hotel in beautiful surroundings. Lovely view from the room. Very friendly owners. Wonderful and varied breakfast.

To be aware: The kitchen in the restaurant closes relatively early for a weekend, however the owners kindly offered to prepare a cold meal in advance for us.

Quiet location. Our room was bright, looked newly renovated and with nice attention to detail. Good breakfast. Friendly staff. We know from an earlier stay that it is very relaxing to sit on the terrace.

Nothing to dislike. Perhaps just that hotel guests checking in and out happens in the restaurant and are passing through with their trolleys

The restaurant was excellent with great local food, nice presentation and helpful staff. The breakfast buffet was expansive with fresh breads, fruit, yogurt, scrambled eggs, bacon, hams and cheese. Really good food.

Entering the hotel was a bit confusing, in that luggage had to come right through the restaurant.

A lovely property with very welcoming hosts. A delightful setting and cozy hotel in the mountains above Basel. The weather was not in our favour but it would be a great base for walkers and other lovers of the outdoors.
