Almoust no guest, the hotel was empty. No restaurant.
I would totally recommend the stay! The castle itself has an amazing atmosphere, beautiful garden, rooms and surrounding environment. The staff was very nice as well. The breakfast choice was quite rich. We found it totally by chance but I'm glad we gave it a try.
There were only two things that we didn't like. Even though the temperature in castle during summer is great there was no possibility to store any food. I would really welcome to have a small fridge in the room. The second thing was that our room was behind reception so sometimes it was more busy or it wasn't pleasant to cross the room with people working or having a meeting.

Atmosphere from middle ages is everywhere around, very well-though customer service and stuff was answering my messages within minutes; garden is very calm, relaxing and nice;
We arrived late (round 20:00) and the recommended restaurant was closed so we had to go to the close village for dinner -> a warning restaurants near by close early would have been appreciated;
We loved our stay. The family room is spacious, staff very helpful and most importantly the fact that this is a real castle is totally amazing.

Arrived late at night, staff had set out a path of lanterns for us from the gate to our room :)Exceptionally friendly and patient reception and breakfast staff, great coffee, fresh fuit and great selection at the breakfast buffet. The park on the premises wit huge old trees is as stunning as the view.
The furniture was quaint and "vintage" but not comfortable. No barrier free access (but lots of fun spiral staircases). Room had no number?
