Hotel Santa Apolonia

Room had everything, including a warmer for towels, electric kettle, instant coffee, cable TV, refrigerator, and so on. I really loved the floor, some kind of cork product.Breakfast was very good. I wouldn't say excellent, because I have had better breakfasts at hotels of similar ranking in several countries.

I don't think that it is a good idea to send customers an email message prior to arrival informing them that visits are not allowed into the rooms. I was unable to confirm if this message is sent only to visitors who travel alone or to all customers. My suggestion is to place a note in the room informing customers of the policy rather than sending an email.

This is a great hotel. It's extremely clean and comfortable, the rooms are very modern, it's in a nice quiet location (which was especially good for us after spending time in noisy apartments in Lisbon and Porto), and the breakfast is great with regards to variety, quality and taste. Plus, the Owner Fernando couldn't be nicer or more helpful. (I had to print a bunch of tickets to attractions we were going to in Spain and told him I would pay for the service, and after doing it for me he wouldn't accept any money.) It's a great place to stay and we highly recommend it!

Lovely place, very comfortable room with coffee and tea facilities and even dressing gowns. It's about 25 mins walk to the old town of Bragança and there are several restaurants nearby. Friendly and helpful staff. Extensive continental breakfast.

Lift to first floor. Comfortable beds. Shower room very nice and suitablely stocked with towels, toilet rolls and showering gels. Kettle and cups provided. Balcony with table and chairs. Good selection of foodstuffs for breakfast.

No tea/coffee etc ingredients. No city views from the balcony (Booking.com description says city views from rooms).

My husband and I would like to thank hotel Santa Apolonia so very much for all their help with arranging two taxis to take us and our bicycles to Rabano de Aliste, Spain, 50k away, to enable us to continue our trip. Thank you once again. Wendy and Rob Dixon

The breakfast was excellent. Such a large choice. I am especially grateful for the staff looking after our bags during the day we checked out.

Rooms small but very clean, comfortable and quiet. New looking bathroom. Typical but very good breakfast in pleasant dining room. Exceptionally friendly staff. Perfect location for events at the Instituto Polytecnico.

Wow, what a find! Beautifully appointed room, lovely staff and a special mention of the amazing breakfast. We couldn't believe the choice for such a fair price. Free off street parking was a bonus. We did drive into the old town as it is a bit of a walk but you could do it, lovely area to walk around with heaps of restaurants and bars. Laundromat just around the corner in case that's important to you (we needed it!)

Staff, room, entrance gate, breakfast (very delicious) was all good. For guest, essential needs like water for bathing, towel, soap, frize (inside water), well dressed bed, TV, etc. Staff are friendly nature and best for interaction.

I was happy with my stay here, the accomodation was pretty easy to find and had really good and secure parking for my motorbike in a private secure area just a short walk from the hotel.The hotel doesnt have a bar but there is a decent bar/cafe litterally just around the corner and which is really convenient. Additionally it's not long a walk into the 'old town' probably about 23 minutes or so and there are are a number of bars/restuarants there.There was a fridge in the room with water, drinks etc at reasonable prices.There are also shops/supermarkets near by in both left and right directions on the main road when leaving the hotel.Breakfast was good and probably better than I had expected - the man at reception was helpful at all times and I would be happy to stay here again for an overnight stay if passing through the area

Nothing really - it was all good and up to my expectations. I was particullarly pleased with the secure parking for my motorbike in the secure covered area.

Friendly and helpful manager and staff. Undercover motorcycle parking at the back of the hotel. Excellent breakfast.

Location was a bit far from the centre.

The Hotel was above expectations as it was clean, comfortable and the breakfast food was fresh and delicious.

A small very quaint hotel which was a delight to walk in to. Very clean, helpful staff and gem of a find.Breakfast was varied and plenty full. The Sandwich Snack just 5 min. away does delightful local cuisine.

I can't say there anything I didn't like.

As typical of Portuguese people, we were greeted with a smile. I needed laundry service because I had motion sickness during the long bus ride. They cleaned my new scarf and jacket without charge! They came back beautiful. Served lovely breakfast in the morning. Will return.

Hotel staff was helpful and friendly. Spacious room, Toilet was big. and clean. Enough pillows and Towel in the room.. lovely breakfast, many items in the breakfast sound proof room. Totally I'm very satisfied and I recommend this place to stay. See you again lovely Santa Appolonia.
