Pros +
- We loved walking into a room with A/C on a very hot day. There was a bottle of water waiting for us and everything was spotless. The building seems a bit confusing architecturally but maybe it's us. We were very tired from the trip and the heat so maybe it looked more complicated than it really is. The bed was a bit narrow for us but we're not skinny people. However, the mattress was very comfortable and we rested very well. We had opted out of breakfast but as we left the next day, the smell of baked/warm breads coming from the dining area made us regret our choice. It was so inviting! Sadly, we had an early morning appointment with time only for coffee but otherwise we'd have loved to try the breakfast. There was no option to have just coffee at the hotel so we tried to find a cafe on our way to our appointment. The staff was very welcoming and gave us some helpful tips about places to see and visiting the castelo.
- The staff. I landed at the local airport during the major power outage that took down Spain and Portugal There was no phone connection, no restaurants and no cash machines were working When I arrived at the hotel though I found cheerful staff doing their very best to make people comfortable. I was made a sandwich, given a beer and a torch and they apologised about the lack of hot water! It’s a simple local hotel but with a great heart
- Great staff, clean, and nice location
Cons -
- Maybe the bed could have been larger? But keep the mattress; it was very comfortable. The noise from the bar next door kept us up but that's not the hotel's fault. I'm not sure what else could have been better. Maybe have a self-serve coffee machine with coins for travelers in a hurry like us? We discovered as we were walking around town that morning that some cafes were not actually open even though Google maps said they were.
- It’s not the Ritz but it’s immaculately clean and simply presented
- The morning coffee had a strange taste.

Great staff, clean, and nice location
The morning coffee had a strange taste.
I loved the host and staff of this hotel - incredibly nice and welcoming. Also, they are flexible and helpful - they immediately solved the issues with heating in the room.
Overall level of the quality of the room and the hotel. Despite the nice staff, rooms are outdated and small 10
Very nice hotel in a good location. The room is very clean and nice. The staff was very helpful .I really like everything
The hotel had an optional breakfast, which was a terrific option for starting the day off quickly. The location could not have been better, close to the bus station and the Citadel. The main access street was closed for repair, but the hotel made it a point to get in touch and let us know how to get in. They even provided a map of the city and showed us how to get to the Citadel.
We loved the hotel and thought it was a great value. It would have been nice to have a little more signage at the entrance to direct us to reception and the other main areas.
Breakfast was way beyond what someone would expect for a small hotel, better than many 4* I have stayed in. Location is great. Staff was extremely helpful.
Not a negative point, bur consider that as it is downtown will be harder to find parking.
The location is excellent, also was lucky to find a free parking place on the street nearby. Also staff was friendly and recommended a great place to have breakfast.
The bathtub and the window in the bathroom were leaking. The bathroom was shabby and seemed old. The room featured only a bottle of water and 2 glasses. There wasn’t even a trash bin in the room.
the location
the room was very smelly with smoke and I am a non-smoker. walls are not soundproof so you hear a lot of annoying noises at night (midnight!)
Really central, amazing staff! Cordial, kind and helpful.
Above all, this is a very cheap place. The owner could not be more helpful and personal. You are right in the heart of Braganca, near everything.
Some say the room was small and the hotel diificult to find. We do not agree, so there was nothing we did not like.
Very Central location but the hotel a bit difficult to find on a side street. Nice restaurants in the area and a walkable city once you found a parking spot for your car.
very amenable staff
parking was a little hit and miss, but I was fortunate to get a space quite close.
Staff was very helpful.
Outdated. No refrigerator or ice machine.
It was a basic room yet comfortable and the location was the best. Easy to park on a street next to it.
Not sure.
Great location, modern hotel, very nice and helpful chap at reception….
Restricted balcony view
Great boutique hotel, comfortable beds, amazing accommodating staff, perfect location in the historic district about 12 minutes from the bus station, and seriously, have the delectable breakfast.
Good for an overnight stay. Bed was comfy, the room was spatious and had AC. Shower was good.
Perfect location. Close enough to walk to the main sights. The staff are really friendly and helpful, giving us advice on what to see and where to eat. Breakfast is great value for money, varied & tasty.
Great hotel and location. The man at the reception was very helpful and friendly A1 thank you. Breakfast was really nice
