    Pros +

    • It’s a lovely property away from the normal tourist riffraff with a beautiful olive grove facing the rooms. I saw the sunrise every morning through these olive trees.
    • It was a big room with lovely balcony and really nice grounds. Julie the manager was super helpful and always available for recommendations and even helped us pay a parking ticket!
    • Clean, spacious and above all, an extremely friendly staff, thanks Julie for taking care of us! The pool is amazing, the rooms are lovely and rustic. It's quiet, and nearby a supermarket.

    Cons -

    • In general everything was taken care of. It would be nice if they washed the glasses in the room after we used them since they did not provide any dishwashing abilities
    • It wasn’t as close to beach as I thought but it was central to the Algarve as a whole so really only 10-20 min to great beaches.
    • It was perfect! Nothing was wrong!

The old olive farm is an oasis in the middle of a quaint village with only minutes to a huge, spectacular beach. The owner, Angel is a visionary who put his heart and soul into sourcing unique and priceless antiques and restoring the chapel. He was gracious enough to give us a personal tour. The ancient olive trees, relaxing pool and gardens make this hotel the perfect spot to unwind. Julie at the front desk was so helpful and pleasant. The breakfast was good and the staff great!

The only suggestions would be to supply water and clean drinking glasses daily, update towels, and stop spraying fake chemical smelling perfume in the rooms. We would stay again in a minute and still highly recommend this property.

Breakfast was excellent. Julie, the manager was so helpful and skilled at her job, dealing with any difficulties we had and signposting the chapel and the history of the hotel. The hotel had amazing sculptures and pieces of furniture and art, beautiful wall hangings, and was set in a large and charming garden with moorish pagodas and infinity pool.

At first we were concerned about the location near Aldi, cement works and motorway but once in the hotel you were in an oasis. Arriving after 10 at night meant there was no one on reception and there was no bar or restaurant so it felt a bit unwelcoming. But Julie was always at the end of a phone and provided very good what’s app instructions to help with location, parking etc…Also 2 good restaurants right next to hotel. And you could order drinks from reception.

Absolutely charming, full of interesting and beautiful art and artefacts. Very good location with beautiful and quirky gardens and walkways. Breakfast was fresh, perfect and very efficient.

The grounds are beautiful, the pool is divine, the beds are comfortable. The breakfast was perfect and so nice to be able to eat outside. Staff was attentive and helpful. The whole place is so peaceful

the only minor complaint is that the rooms are quite dark as the fixtures are antique and brass.

The room was an excellent size, with a good size patio leading onto the gardens. The pool and gardens are simply amazing - tranquil and relaxing. Look forward to a return visit.

The room was comfortable and had a good size, had a big balcony, also small fridge, and the bed was great, really liked the bed. The hotel was clean, the pool also looked very clean and pleasant, not sure if it has depth it looked like its not very deep, with for me is bad new as i like deep pools :) we didn't use it as the weather is not yet good. The breakfast was OK. Also has a big park for the cars so its very practical. All in all its a good stay. Could come back.

I didn't like very much the way to hotel seem to have many rules a bit like if you are in a camping. Gates close early and then you have one side gate to input a code. Other detail - the breakfast is already ready for us in a tray.. equal for everyone. And it was an OK tray with lots of things, but id prefer to choose the things by myself. I found the staff a bit cold although everything was working OK. Also think the garden could be more treated.. for instance our room had a great balcony but the view was very poor and even though some parts its the surroundings and not the hotel fault, this could be compensated by garden works. Also since its a big area outside of the "main" areas nearby, the garden being more build to use would make a big plus. The decoration was a bit awkward mixing old valuable pieces with back quality looking like old new ones in a undefined style..

Beautiful garden, swimming pool, buildings and interior decoration. Very nice staff including those doing maintenance work. Superb breakfast. Spacious car park. Quiet and clean.

Suggest using warmer colour temperature for the lights.

The whole property is absolutely beautiful, stunning. Breakfast was perfect. The pool was exceptional, plenty of room to swim and plenty of room for everyone. There was a fridge in the room, perfect for snacks and drinks. Each room has a private outdoor area. Julie and all staff we spoke with were friendly, professional and very helpful. 10 mins in a taxi to the beach with plenty of decent restaurants and bars.

Not a complaint at all- all bedrooms (up and downstairs) are classed as 'with balcony' so Juli suggested to specify when booking if you want upstairs/downstairs.

Julie and her colleagues were very hospitable. The grounds are just beautiful. It is clear that the project has been a labour of love.

As my husband is in a wheelchair, additional attention to accessibility would have made our stay perfect. However, no facilities were over sold to us

    Lovely pool

Lack of bar or restaurant. Limited selection of restaurants within walking distance

    9DenisPosted on: 9-18-2024

The breakfast was excellent. Loved the way it was presented. Our room waa so different to the usual purpose-built hotels, a Moorish theme. Julie on reception was so helpful, whatever you asked. And a life-saver when I forgot my phone charger! Being r8ght on the EN125 (although you couldn't hear the traffic) made it so easy to head off to various places.

A little bar in the evening, even with just the basics, would be nice. Realise, because of the type of establishment it was, that it may not be possible. Not a 'dislike', just a comment.

Superb breakfast , beautiful grounds of the old olive grove and mill and lovely pool area. Very quiet despite being near a busy road but felt quite rural. 10 mins walk to several local restaurants.

    Loved everything

Beautiful hotel, the swimming pool and area were excellent. The rooms were spacious with a good bathroom and balcony. A very nice breakfast, and friendly staff. There are some amazing artifacts all around the large gardens and buildings.

    9LuciaPosted on: 9-9-2024

We loved the pool and relaxing atmosphere, and the breakfast was superb as well as the staff when anything was required.

The fact that there were two adjoining single beds rather than a double, made cuddling hard.
