Hotel Colina Dos Mouros

It looks and feels like a castle. Free delicious breakfast provided, great views, nice pool, grounds, beautiful terrace and balcony. Spacious room with bathtub. Overall charming property.

Reception was a little cool- we didn¿t feel welcomed when every place in Portugal is so nice. They made us email the confirmation number before getting the key- which we thought was strange. The worst thing- there was an ant infestation.

Great location right on the beach. Close to activities and restaurants.

Parking is a problem. We had to self park. We walked 600 meters from Parking to hotel.

Location was great- just about fifty steps to the center of Old Town. Walkable to marina, beach, restaurants, shopping. We also walked to The Strip in New Town. The shared kitchen was large and had everything needed. The pool was wonderful with loungers and umbrellas. Loved the tables to eat outside. Very relaxing. The ladies worked hard in the morning cleaning- up for new guests. Allowed us to drop off luggage early.

Need a luggage rack, like the foldable kind. No furniture to put your belongings, so everything was on the floor the entire stay. But other than that, we were very happy.

The Castle view was great, excellent location. The grounds and pools were nice

There was a large hole in my ceiling, mold in bathroom tiles, outdated hair dryer. In room safe had no locking ability. Bed was 2 twin beds of different heights pushed together. Bed spread was dated. For a 3 star hotel there were no pool towels. 1 of 2 coffee machines was out of order, leaving a long breakfast line at the only coffee machine that had to be refilled.

Location with a car was excellent. Breakfast was a good selection.

Rooms are not soundproof - noises from rooma on either side and above were load.

The location is great, Silves is really beautiful and has plenty of restaurants. It's central on the Algarve coast.

The room was really old, the bed as well, the mattress were not comfortable and making squeaking noises.The few staffs we met were looking really grumpy, not smiling, not helping, just being there to do the bare minimum.The car park is terrible, the hotel is on a hill, and the car park is at the bottom, you have to climb a lot (not practical with suitcases), and the alleys are with pavements, which was not great to pull the suitcases.

Beautiful location just outside the city with plenty of parking and a very nice pool. The staff were very nice and the rooms were clean.

The rooms didn’t have enough wall plugs and the breakfast food was so-so.

The staff are not very friendly. Didn’t even acknowledge you if we’re going by them in the lobby.

The location is great. The view of the castle is great IF you have a room on Level 1 or Level 2 (not level -1 or -2). Water pressure was good. Proximity to restaurants and grocery store Lidl was great.

This property should not be listed on Booking.com. The rooms were old and dirty. The paint was peeling off the wall. The bathroom was smelling musty. There were ants and spiders running wild in the bathroom. Bugs and flies came into the room if the sliding glass doors were opened ever so slightty. The internet did not work at all in Rm 101 and Rm 102. The Wifi router was in the corridor but the signal never passed through the hotel room doors. I had to go to the lobby to access Wifi on my iPhone or my laptop. The shower head wasn't attached. It kept falling off the shower pipe every time one turned on the shower. Not enough spots for parking and the way to the parking lot is very narrow. Drivers be ware. There was construction when we arrived at the hotel. The noise of the electric drill going through the concrete was terrible. The breakfast was mediocre and there was no variety from one day to another.

Breakfast rather disappointing

The hotel was great. Enjoyed the pool and proximity to local sights. The bed was a bit uncomfortable, but for one or two nights it wasn’t too bad.

Bed could use new mattress.

On a busy road, traffic noise

the location is great for exploring Silves. the staff seemed friendly and view from the castle side rooms and restaurant terras are nice

The beds are quite hard,and there is no sound proofing. everything from the hall and some noises from other rooms cane be heard clearly. one of the single rooms has a very strong smell of mold/moisture. breakfast is quite simple and can get crowded
