The hotel looks clean and neat. The staff are very attentive and make their best to make you comfortable; they are very friendly too. The hotel restaurant is OK

The USB cellphone charges in the room didn’t work and they couldn’t figure out how to fix them! This make my stay more uncomfortable since I had to charge it at the front desk. One of the receptionist was kind and lent me her charger for usual plugs (only 2/4 of the usual plugs worked at the room. The restaurant is mildly over price for the quality considering that in Seva there are very good places where to eat for less money.

The location.

At our last day, suddenly the indoor pool is not available.. but there was no sign on the elevator, like the staff we're telling. Though the outside pool is available, it is not possible to swim due to bad weather... So cloudy, it so cold for the kids to swim outside...

We were quite happy with our overnight stay there en route further south. Parking no problem and the room and evening meal were both fine. There are splendid views from the hotel which is located some way from anywhere that might be of interest. We did however feel that the establishment generally needed some tlc or at least a little refreshing.

Nice and comfortable. Location was lovely in the middle of nature. Plenty activities to do.

Wouldn’t recommend if going with partner/couple. Lots lots of kids. Dinner buffet was not great unless you have no car to go elsewhere I wouldn’t stay for dinner. Breakfast was good.

We were at this hotel 3 years ago and we had an amazing stay, which made us come back. What a mistake!The hotel doesn’t look very well maintained, where a lot of facilities looked way worse. The gym was not available for use and the spa was a bit dirty and the room had quite a bad smell everytime we walked in (literally smelled like trash). This is without forgetting to mention that we were lucky enough to have a neighbor that snored so loud at night that it woke us up. Don’t think the walls are too isolated at this point. Honestly, I don’t think we had our money’s value this time.

We booked this hotel with one purpose and that was to relax. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere with the nearest town on a 20 minute drive, so you completely depend on the facilities in the hotel. In our case they had closed the outdoor pool area already upon our arrival (we arrived 11th of September with still 25 degrees temperature). For us the outdoor relaxation was the one and only reason we came all this way. It is also the first picture they show when booking for the hotel. On booking it said it was open and on their website it says it is open all summer (which in my understanding ends the 22nd of September). Also the gastro bar (on their outside terras) was mostly unattended and you had to look for staff to either place an order or pay the bill. We eventually cut our stay 2 days short as a result of not being able to use the facilities we came for. A refund for the remaining days has been denied, same as any other form of financial compensation. At least booking gave us a voucher for our next trip which is appreciated, but not a single gesture or apology from the hotel.Reading the other reviews I see that similar complains about lack of transparency regarding outdoor facilities have already been given earlier this year in June. Do something about it and update your website and your ad on Booking!Other issues:- a strong weird smell in the entire hotel, probably because dogs are allowed- location of the breakfast was changed one of the mornings. No signs or information was provided to us, we just stood in front of a locked door. We missed out on breakfast on that day because of this- Very poor bed quality. We felt the springs pushing in our backs- All in all the hotel is old and very overpriced for what you get in return

Safety warning - Mind your head

Watch out if you are a bit tall and want to get out to the terrace of a Junior Suite, there are very low beams unprotected and without any warning. If it is dark you could hit hard your head (and people at reception do not really care much).

The hotel is isolated from the rest of the world, and so unless you drive there, you're pretty much trapped. I would've liked for them to take this into account, either informing people beforehand on the website (that there's only taxis, that the only hotel in the area doesn't accept walk-ins, only reservations...), or offering help (reception offered me the phone of a taxi, and when I called they said they didn't go there) or advice (recommended hiking routes...), and alternatives (only one breakfast option in the whole mountain, and it's the hotel's 18 € buffet--which means you either pay that amount or don't have breakfast at all. The alternative could've simply been a kettle and instant coffee sachet in the room...). Also, don't bother reaching out via the messaging app on Booking or the phone provided here, they never answered me. The only way I could reach out to them was by the local phone number on Google Maps.

The location is ideal, in the middle of the nature. The pools are great, and the hotel is very familiy-friendly.The breakfast was great.

The views from our room to the parking lot where a little disappointing.We found lots of mosquitos in our rooms when we arrived.

The location

The outdoor swimming pool is actually a public pool outside the hotel. The indoor pool is kept very dark and unattractive.

Unfriendly staff, door cards did not work. Furniture is "tired".

The view and location were amazing. The breakfast and dinner, both buffet, were acceptable. The personnel working in the hotel were friendly and nice.

Everything was in a not good condition of maintenance. Paint, cleanliness, and hygiene in the room and spa were not properly managed (looks like a hotel that in the 90s was great but now has no maintenance policy).We had a long waiting time to check in. We booked a double bed, they gave us two simple beds.

The pool. The food and the bar. The staff were lovely, all of them.

Quiet location but close to golf. Staff were friendly and always happy to help.

Nothing not to like

We had amazing stay in Montanya hotel! Friendly, attentive, helpful staff. Big suit with bathrobes, spa treatments, coffee machine, kettle. We visited SPA and it was great! Highly recommend! Thanks to all hotel staff for our excellent experience.

Everything great

The hotel is as the pictures. Nice for a weekend away or for a stop if you are travelling. It was not the romantic getaway I was expecting as, the pack I bought as dinner and breakfast, for dinner, it was buffet style also, with lots of families with children. So you just have to be aware if you were expecting a menu kind of dinner. Overall, I accept this fact, tried to sit away from little children (don’t take me wrong, I have 2 daughters, but that was MY romantic getaway with my husband, so …) and enjoyed the weekend anyway.

Unfortunately I can confirm that the walls are thin as paper and you can hear everything in the other rooms and corridor. Not very pleasant.
