Pros +
- Off the beaten path, remote and quiet. Beautiful location, saunas and steam room. Dinner and breakfast.
- The front desk staff were so friendly and helpful. They let us leave our car while we did a 3 day hike in the Tre-Cime. The spa has a whirlpool, sauna and cold plunge which was lovely to use after a hiking trek. The dining was convenient and good for the price.
- Great location, great spa amenities, good breakfast
Cons -
- It is a beautiful historic hotel, but could use some touch-ups here and there.
- Uncomfortable beds, musty/old time type odor
- The staff was not willing at all to make the stay a bit better. I only had two very reasonable requests which the hotel management didn’t want to fulfill. Thy was to give me any other table at breakfast (I was the only one in the room with maids of tables) and the other one was to give me two towels as I had to pay for two while I was traveling alone

There was limited choice of everything. I have had much better breakfasts in Italy

Special atmosphere with respect to old times. Wonderful breakfast and dinner. Very friendly and professional staff.
We left before breakfast started. A lunch was packed for us to take along on our visit to the Doloites. A very nice gesture on the part of the hotel!
What I liked:1. The location. Absolutely stunning! There are lots of trails around and hiking routes that you can do just by getting out of the hotel. Main touristic hikes/attraction are quite close by car/bus. The bus station is just 2 minutes away. The whole area is quite silent even in August. You have a small shop a few minutes away by foot, and a very good supermarket 4-5 minutes away by car. 2. Very friendly & helpful staff. They will give your whatever information you may ask for and help you with organising your activities around. Maps of the area and a booklet with the schedule of the buses are available at the hotel, free of charge.3. Bus tickets. The hotel offers a free card that you can use for the bus, which is very convenient, as the buses go to all main attractions in the area.4. Everything was very clean, which is something that I deeply appreciate!5. The warm and lovely atmosphere definitely made me feel at home :)
What I didn’t like:1. The noise. Don’t expect to sleep past 7 am in the morning. When the elevator got out of service, everyone started using the stairs, so at 7 am the rumour was unbearable. The floors make a little bit of noise when you step on them, but the noise was mostly due to guests being very loud and kids yelling. I am a morning person, but I don’t like to wake up to people screaming… You can always step slowly and carefully so that you respect the other guests. However, this is not the hotel’s fault.2. The spa is not a 4 star wellness area. There is an indoor sauna and a jacuzzi, in a quite small place. The outdoor swimming pool is big and has a fantastic view, but you might not be able to use it because of the temperature outside which oftentimes low even in summer.
Historic hotel in amazing location. The view from the back side of the hotel is amazing. Spa and pool were lovely. Breakfast was very good. Staff friendly
The rooms facing the street are very noisy with buses and trucks passing frequently. Beds were not up to date. Rates seemed a bit high considering all the other hotels in the area
Very friendly hosts and staff who made us feel welcome, comfortable, and relaxed. Great location in the heart of the village. Excellent breakfast and dinner. We will return!
The hotel was lovely, we had booked a quadruple room, but it was actually two separate rooms attached to each other which was even better. The staff were very friendly. The food was fine dining and very nice. There was a choice of three main courses, including one vegetarian option. It is short walk up the road to the slopes, but you can ski back right to the hotel. The first button lift takes you to a track which you can ski down to get to the main lift up to the Croda Rossa. We went the first weekend in March and there was lots of snow. Plus the slopes were practically empty so it was perfect.
Great location, exceptional restaurant! Spa is very helpful at the end of hiking day.
Location. Central for lots of walks, skiing, cross country skiing and snowshoeing. Room very comfortable. Food consistently outstanding. Staff absolutely delightful - always smiling and very helpful.
Nothing. We couldn’t fault it.
The hotel is very good located. Very charming, with oldschool elegant atmosphere. The rooms are big and you have enough of storage place. Professional staff, very nice and helpfull. The service in hotel is perfect. There are even cakes waiting for you when you return from a trip. Also the pool area, with great garden full of flowers with amazing view to the mountain. Also wellnes is nice and elegant, with fruit snacks and drinks. Breakfast rich of fruit and local ham and cheese. The evening meal is exceptional - really worth trying. Wonderfull - relaxing place. Very friendly if you are travelling with the dog, you won't find many such dog friendly hotels. We definitely recommend this hotel.
Rooms are somewhat older furnished what you feel when opening the windows and the beds can be more comfortable. But nothing more to complain about.
Great location. Professional staff, helpful and swift. When our train to Innichen was delayed they arranged a taxi to pick us up at the train station.Food was great and abundant even for gluten intolerents. We enjoyed lent walking sticks and a free shower after check out time.
View behind the hotel is breathtaking. Pool is amazing. Staff friendly and very helpful!
