Hotel Emma West

Great location, near two big hypermarkets. The room was quiet, clean and spacious. Good value for money.

The staff is very very helpful, friendly, going above and beyond to accommodate needs (in my case, providing sleepers when there were none in the room, being flexible for a late checkout as I needed extra time for an online meeting etc.)

The room temperature ranges from warm to hot. I appreciate having a good temperature indoors in winter (it happens that I usually travel to Craiova in autumn/ winter), but it is uncomfortable warm, especially at night when trying to sleep.

Good location, welcome staff, spacious room, good priced and pleasant for one night stop.

Strong smell of smoking sigarets was felt , although intensively perfumed cleaning.

We were a group of 4 people and we were disappointed by the staff in this hotel

THEY DONT CARE ABOUT THEIR Guests !!!!The lady from reception checked us in, asked us to pay immediately, and forgot to tell that there is an issue with the warm/hot water, which can not be solved until the next day. (There were almost +40 degrees outside, and we were in transnit, leaving the hotel the next day, early in the morning.)Late evening when returned to the hotel we realised that we couldn't take showers. We were told that there is an issue with the heating of the water machine in the whole hotel. She advised us to let the water run longer, and eventually, we might take a shower like that.After long discussions, we were offered to remain in the hotel,without the hot water, or eventually to move to another hotel from the same group, in case of availability of rooms. Initially, we have chosen to say in a 4 stars hotel, but.ended up in 3 stars hotel. We could have booked the one proposed by them as well, because it was available on booking.com, but we didn't want that one due to some bad reviews.On top of it, we felt humiliated and frustrated by their arrongacy. It is a long review-message, but we wanted to raise awareness about the way the staff in this hotel chose to treat their guests.

There is nothing to add here because we were disappointed by the staff from reception.

There was no hot (or even warm) water in the hotel, since few days before our arrival, but the lady from the reception checked us in the room without informing there is an issue with it.After arguing with the lady from reception, they recognised that there is an issue for a few days and recommended that we let the water run for a while, and eventually, it might be OK for the shower!!!!!After long discussions, they offered the possibility to stay in another hotel, belonging to them, Emma East, a hotel with 3 stars, and not as Emma West with 4 stars. Even if we paid more for the room in the Emma West hotel, they didn't offer anything in exchange.THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT THEIR GUESTS!!!!! We felt humiliated to pack all again at 8 in the evening and move to another hotel, on a lower level than the one we have booked.

Clean room. Stuff very polite. Private parking.

The hotel is in a well connected area with private parking and just across the road there is a tram stop bringing you to the city center (just 3 stops). The center is at a fair walking distance (about 20 minutes). There is a supermarket next to the hotel an a big shopping centre just 5 minutes walking. The rooms are big and comfy. The service is good and the personnel is very gentle.

It is not a 4 star hotel. The furniture is old and a maintenance absence is noted at many places. The breakfast is fair for not more than 2 stars.

It was the end of a 3 week holiday ..wanted luxury with restaurant and breakfast..booked in to be told restaurant was closed Saturday and Sunday breakfast was non existent on Monday morning at all ..for a 4star hotel I was totally not happy..nowhere on the site when I booked it said there was no restaurant..I would not have booked for that reason . I wanted a restaurant. My daughter in her suite found a used condom under the edge of the bed she was in the suite with her 2 young daughters.doesnt bear thinking about what could have happened if either of these children found the condom..the carpets in the suite also looked as if they had not been cleaned or hoovered in a very long time.my daughters new white sports socks were black in about one and a half hours and my 2 grandaughters feet after their baths were soon back...

The way the air conditioning was available the staff at the reception was very kind

The breakfasts had poor selections; the serving staff in the restaurant bored and behaved like bothered by the existence of the clients , the location on a very busy street and although the windows were closed the noise was disturbing during the night; the bathrooms was not clean around the sink and in the shower; the carpet on the floor old and not well cleaned

Location is OK, although definitely not central. Hotel parking is a convenience. The room bed and pillows were very comfy.

The room was very hot, although the thermostat was up to a maximum (it was a hot day). No opening windows. Although clean and well kept, the hotel's furniture and appearance is old and outdated.

The AC was barely working, which was not that nice with 30c outside. Luckily the windows did open.
