Pros +
- Staff was very friendly and welcoming. The included breakfast was plentiful and much needed for pilgrims on the via Francigena.
- The reception and staff were very kind and friendly, always ready to help. The cleanliness is of a very high standard. The location is central and fairly quiet. The room is renovated and feels fresh.
- The host didn't speak English, but that wasn't a problem. She welcomed us with an incredible smile, friendliness and kindness. It was amazing to start our road trip through Italy by staying in this accommodation. The breakfast! Super chocolate brioche like I've never had before! And the Cappucino super creamier. Mamma Mia! :)
Cons -
- Beds were not comfortable.
- The mattress was uncomfortable and seemed old; you could feel the springs against your body, and I couldn’t sleep. The breakfast is very Italian, just tea or coffee and one pastry. Also, they don’t have an iron. Unfortunately, I showed up at the wedding with wrinkled clothes, even though an iron was listed among the facilities.
- The windows werent sound proof.

Typical Italian breakfast. You will get a cappuccino/cafe and a brioche with chocolate or marmalade. Very good value for money, so don't expect a 5 Star all-inclusive experience. However, totally sufficient if you are looking for a place to stay overnight and continue your travel tomorrow or visit for Ottobiano MX (as was the case for us). Food in the restaurant is in line with the rest of the hotel. The restaurant is visited by locals, which I think is a good sign.We did not speak Italian, but some of the personal were fluent in English.
The staff is amazing, super friendly elderly people. The place is very vintage and old style, clean and comfortable. We stayed happily in this little town for a night, next day to go to Monferrato.
Breakfast and how they organised check in after hours.
The windows werent sound proof.
Good location. Host communicated well with key instructions
Small bedroom made getting in and out of bed difficult
Friendliness of staff, excellent value for a one night stay with a very nice Italian breakfast (assorted croissants, bread, jam, juice and good cappucino). This was our second visit, the rooms have been newly decorated with improved air- conditioning. We will return as it is à great place to stay en route to Tuscany.Thank you!
The kindness and flexibility of the staff.
I was expecting a self-service type breakfast, but the one we got was also fine (we were served by a waiter.)
It was clean and there was private parking.
The hotell is in a no mans land. The price is high and the staff is smiling bur are very clumsy and stressed. Low om safety. Bad Wi-Fi. Very noisy between the rooms
Very nice, always smiling and cooperative staff. Building is quite interesting by itself. We got some kind of free upgrade for one of the rooms in a bigger one. Gelato at the bar is perfect. Room was clean. Private parking.
Breakfast is average - good coffee but no vegetables or fruits or milk, cheese, salami… Small piece of butter and one mini cup of jam and a lot of bread for 4 people. For sure they have to invest in normal towels and bed covers. These they use now are terrible. The rooms looking to the road are noisy in the morning.
Cosy family-owned hotel with an amazing atmosphere just a couple of minutes off of an autostrada. Perfect for an affordable one night on your trips through Italy.
Out of the way but incredible staff.Food was excellent too.
Clean and had everything we needed
Not easy to find

No frills hotel that does what it’s says on the tin.
Value for money .... Very polite and helpful owners
Many mosquitos
Everything! The vibe was amazing, everybody was so kind and the room was cute and tidy.
