    Pros +

    • The breakfasts were reasonable and the bed was very comfortable.
    • Calm and relaxing. Good poolside area. Excellent breakfast
    • Comfortable bed and places to sit. Quiet area. Central locations - close to bus station (5 minute walk). Helpful reception. Good breakfast.

    Cons -

    • Very Disappointing Felt abandoned?no bellman, no welcome. Told to drive around with our luggage. Sent to a bus stop for coffee. Room was dusty, bathroom dirty, staff cold. Not worth $---, especially on our honeymoon.
    • The room we were initially allocated did not have a bath, when this was pointed out we were allocated another, with a bath.As we were due out for dinner we deposited our belongings and exited coming back later that evening and being met with a smell akin to an unkempt urinal. Pointed this out to front desk next morning who later said they had 'cured' the problem, Only to find that their 'cure' was an air freshener placed next to the toilet. After informing the front desk that their 'cure' was not sufficient or acceptable we were eventually moved to a new room.We then asked about use of the Spa, only to be told it was 'broken' and had not been operational since September ---- we had booked in October and no mention was made of this, in fact a week before we arrived we had an email from the Hotel & Spa stating that if we wished to utilise the Spa we would have to book at the front desk.On departure the Front Desk manager was not particularly helpful ---- I had to ask to see a printout of the bill and when asked to sign no pen was proffered. Neither was I asked if we needed any help eg taxi, for onward travel
    • Dinner was variable and not so good value

Character and interior of public spaces. The restaurant was very good , lots of choice, good quality and excellent service.

Staff at reception were too serious, not warm and welcoming.

    9TimPosted on: 4-5-2025

Lovely hotel in an historic building. Comfortable rooms around the old cloisters. Great breakfast and good parking.

    7NicholasPosted on: 1-17-2025

Lovely old building in which the hotel is located. Breakfast was very good and the room big and everything provided.

We were travelling and staying in October so the hotel and area were quiet but it was a shame that the Hotel, which had a pool and outside areas seemed to have shut things away. It was still plenty warm enough for those of us from cooler climes to sit by the pool for example! We had hoped to hire bikes in order to explore the area but despite having contacted the Hotel in advance for help in this none was forthcoming. On this note there was absolutely no information provided by the Hotel about the surrounding area/activities available to those staying - a real missed opportunity!

    Location, spa, room, building, staff

Staff appeared to lack general knowledge of the area,. Had to consult computer for information.

The hotel is located in an old monastery and when you get there, you'll be impressed by the main dinning room in the refractory. The rooms are good and clean.

My room was quite far from reception, but not much you can do there.

    10WendyPosted on: 12-23-2024

Staff were very helpful and friendly. Rooms spacious and comfy big bed.

Some milk with the tea facilities in the room.

Beautiful converted convent. So much history, and great location to explore the area, including the amazing grotto/caves. Very modern, with excellent facilities.

The room we were in was very modern, but it lacked the character we were expecting for a historic converted convent.

NICE LOCATION HAVE STAYED THERE BEFORE COMFORTABLE ROOM

BIT EXPENSIVE WANTED TO GO INTO TOWN BUT NO TAXIS

    5RobertPosted on: 11-14-2024

The parking was very good with a protected bike cage for our hire bikes. The hotel room was spacious and clean.

After checking in we were told that the spa was unavailable and we couldn't use the swimming pool. We went to our room to relax and later discovered there was no hot water available in our room . The desk Manager just said it should be on about 6pm. We were very disappointed though to be fair they paid for a meal and wine later and a bottle of cava for a special birthday. We felt all staff not properly trained, avoided eye contact , didn't smile. The spa then reopened for ahour at lunchtime and 2 hrs at 6 pm both incovenient times for us .

    9PatrickPosted on: 11-11-2024

Free parking, very comfortable room, good breakfast included, good location within a short walk of all the town centre, combination of historic convent buildings and modern facilities.

    Rather expensive.

    7WendyPosted on: 11-9-2024

Loved the location perfect for all attractions and easy to get there. Garage easy and large access.

The restaurant was overpriced and to be honest the reality did not match the pictures per the hotel website. Very disappointed.

Location: very well placed to visit the main attractionscomfort: lovely beds, spacious room, good wi-fibreakfast: excellent choice of everythingrestaurant: good restaurant with good menu for dinnerparking: underground and secure

because the hotel is within an old convent the rooms and facilities are not easy to find, more and better signs would help

    10NancyPosted on: 10-25-2024

The size of the room, the size of the bed and the window overlooking the swimming pool

    8WilliamPosted on: 9-28-2024

The conversion of the public room from the old convent had been excellently carried out. The reception staff in particular were extremely friendly and helpful.

Cleaning of the rooms was poor. Our bath towels, which we had used, were not even re-folded neatly.

    Very good

Nice rebuild of ancient convent keeping the atmosphere of the past with present day comforts

    10AntoniaPosted on: 9-16-2024

Fantastic hotel, it's a reformed monastery which is really cool and adds to the charm of the place. It's squeaky clean and has an amazing terrace with a big pool to enjoy with the church view. Staff were fantastic and the rooms were beyond amazing

The male receptionist was not really helpful at all when we called with doubts about parking and it turns out it was easily explainable since his colleague clarified all our doubts in a matter of seconds upon check in
