- Location and price
- Comfortable room. The views are wonderful, it's so peaceful and it was lovely sitting outside in the evening with a glass of wine watching the sunset.
- Far away from the city, with free parking on site.Big room but worn out furniture and very small tv. A nice terrace in front of the room, with a table and 2 chairs. Amazing mountain views from the terrace. Not very clean, old and very small bath towels, no bath mat(they expect you to use your hand towel as a bath mat so we had to ask for one more hand towel). Dirty toilet.Coffee and tea available anytime in the reception area.Very limited options for breakfast.
Cons -
- The wardrobe which contained a blanket both smelt feisty.
- There were other guests staying who were there for work and they tended to get up early to leave. There was noise from adjoining rooms. It didn't spoil our stay.
- Sometimes a slight sulfer smell when running the water and the room lighting was a little dim.

Very friendly staff on lovely property with a wonderful view. Loved the main sitting room with fireplace and the always available tea/coffee. Great place to stay.

Hidden Gem in the outskirts of the beautiful area of Aracena. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with a very good bath/ shower. The breakfast was varied and plentiful. The best bit was the facilities for tea or coffee at the reception area. Very welcoming and friendly reception staff.
The road leading up to the hotel but we'll worth it.
Beautiful location, elevated viewing platform to see the sunset, stunning countryside views, lovely countryside walks. The guy at reception was very helpful even though I messed up booking dinner. Great service from all
The road in is a bit difficult but it’s worth it
The location has a breathtaking viewThe room is spacious and has every commodity you needThe breakfast is good and has several optionsThe restaurant was very good
The room wasn't spotless cleanThe access road is somewhat bumpy
Near to places to visit
Hard mattress, hard pillow
Breakfast was good, Hotel was within striking distance of the town, not sure about walking though as the road was busy and badly lit at night. Plenty of hot water, top of the list was the receptionist, who seemed to be a one person(not sure if i can say man) band, if you want quite then this a perfect location but if you want luxury then its not.
The first night we ate in the restaurant which was cold, this is a large room that had a fire going but was not able to heat the room, the food was fine but got cold quickly because of the temperature. WI/FI could only be had in the main building and not in the room., road leading to the hotel was in pretty bad condition but in the instruction it did say track.
Bed, linen and view
Forniture and road to arrive
The only good thing here is the view.
The pillows and towels are so old and smelt bad. The bedding likewise is so old. Hotels are supposed to be there for you to sleep. I can honestly say we did not get one good night's sleep. The water/air/shower/toilet goes on constantly all night long, loud enough to wake you. The walls are so thin when your neighbour decides to drink and talk to 2am there is nothing you can do. Inside the bathroom had mould and is just horrible. I wasn't expecting much but really if it wasn't for the terrace I would have left straight away. Do yourselves a favour and stay somewhere else in Arracena which a fantastic little town with some lovely restaurants. I didnt eat anything at the hotel including breakfast which doesn't have normal black tea!
The room was spacious and comfortable with lovely views
The pool was cloudy. A difficult walk to Aracena! Bumpy access road.
Outstanding location with amazing views! Very quiet and peaceful, with quite extensive grounds to ramble through. The pool is small, but plenty of chairs and huge shaded outdoor mattresses to lie on. The highlight was the most comfortable bed, pillows and chairs in our travels - our room even had a sofa! The dining room and sitting area with huge sofas and an equally huge real fireplace was most impressive. We ate in the hotel and found the menu somewhat limited, but this was because the chef had only started the previous day. The decor is not modern, but it suits the building.
The wifi was very patchy and you had to be near the central staircase, which meant lack of privacy. The access off the main N-433 was difficult to find, so look out for the two blue bollards - a bigger sign would help. Also when pulling on and off the main road it is important to know which way you can turn, so follow the hotel website instructions. We're used to off-road driving and were not put off by the approach. However you note that the lane up to the hotel is very rough at first, but gets better. It is very narrow but there are gateways to pass another car if you need to.
The views
Dark rooms, poor lighting. The pool looked murky.
The peaceful location; The view from the hotel; The fact that it has a small restaurant with dinner (doesn’t offer a lot of options, but at least you have some).Staff was very nice and helpful.
The bedroom was very humid. You could really feel it whenever you entered it. The bathroom was in need of some maintenance (specially the bathtub). The breakfast could have some scramble eggs and bacon, but other than that I liked it. Please add more milk containers because the milk keeps ending. ?
Beautiful, quiet location overlooking the stunning Sierra de Aracena. Quiet atmosphere. Walking paths. Swimming pool with amazing view. Very close to town of Aracena. Great value for money.
The room was a bit dated, but it was clean and we loved the terrace with a view. Breakfast was a bit basic, so after the first day, we opted to eat in town.
Easy parking
Firstly although advertised no English spoken leading to us being accused of not paying.!! When we had. Access to property is up a very steep loose gravely drive. 20€ menu of the day does not exist and a la carte menu is confusing and expensive.
Friendly member of staff at check in, bar/restaurant and check out. Like a rural lodge with amazing views from the room´s terrace with tables and chairs. Free parking. Fridge in room. Great for people who want to stay off the beaten track.
We could only book a table for evening meal from 8:30pm onward. The menu was very basic. I ended up with meatballs, but came with no sauce and just with chips and no vegetables & the desserts were very uninspiring. We didn´t want to leave the accommodation because the hotel is down a badly signposted narrow dirt track bordered by trees and shrubbery. We were forewarned by previous reviews about this but hadn´t realised how narrow, long and enclosed it would be and we didn´t want to leave the accommodation until checkout for fear of meeting another car coming the other way, particularly in the dark as the track facilitated a few other properties as well as the hotel. This wouldn´t have been a problem had the menu options and meal options in the restaurant been of a good standard and more varied. There was a fixed shower over the bath which was not adjustable to meet the heights of differing people.
Beautiful setting in the foothills. Super friendly staff. Room was clean . This is a great place to stay! Great views and super peaceful.
It was in a beautiful location.
The hotel is more like a hostel than a hotel. The room was scruffy. The soundproofing between the rooms is dreadful, you can hear the person in the next room urinating. The staff were unnecessarily abrupt. Breakfast was a poor excuse served by a miserable member of staff. The place has great potential but it needs to be run properly.
