Simple excellence, no fuss.I wanted somewhere close to the city but in the countryside - this area is in a curve of the Rhine and is so attractive, but only ~10km from Koblenz.

Claimed restaurant was wonderful. Tried to make a reservation ahead and said it was booked. That night it was only 25-40% full during the whole evening. Staff in evening was not helpful. Didn't seem to know anything about what they should or shouldn't do with dinner, times, drinks, etc. Room was very small in a hidden away space difficult to get to when hotel was definitely not full and all windows had covering so you couldn't see out but could barely open them either even though it was hot. The town was eerily quiet and dead. Only a couple of things open the entire Saturday/Sunday we were there. Very strange

The owners were very welcoming and professional, the location and surrounding area was very pretty, we really enjoyed our stay, it was a nice surprise.

We liked staying in the Annex. The hotel is located in the centre of the village and we know the area very well, so it was exactly where we wanted it to be. Half of our group have stayed several times before. The staff were helpful and friendly and even went to the trouble of checking on my elderly dad when he appeared unwell. Excellent breakfast options.

There was only 1 bottle of water and 1 plastic cup for 2 people. Some tea/coffee facilities would be nice!

Our room was modern with AC and a good shower. Breakfast was great, but our dinner in the courtyard restaurant was outstanding! Looking up at the ancient wall was great ambience, our waiter was excellent, and the white wine was superb. Rhens is tiny but very charming!

We liked that it was a short walk to the historic half-timbered houses and some quaint bars. The location was quiet, there was a good breakfast, and the staff were friendly.

We arrived at 20:15 in the evening and planned this as a transfer hotel from Italy to Belgium. We booked it due to the nice courtyard where you can eat something after a heavy travel day. We arrived due unforeseen circumstances at 20:15 and asked if we could still eat something but got the message the kitchen was closed already. However in the hallway hang a paper that the kitchen was normally standard opened till 20:30. At the other hand no airco is present in the room and very hot under the roof and no elevators are present

There was a key box for late arrival

I encountered an issue with the bathroom drain, resulting in a pervasive sewage smell throughout the entire room. Unfortunately, upon my late arrival, no staff was available to report this to. I stayed in the room and slept with the window completely open.The following morning, I promptly informed the staff during breakfast, wrote a message on the hotel check-in form, and sent a message to the hotel through the booking platform. Regrettably, I did not receive any response.I find it highly disappointing that no action has been taken, especially considering the inconvenience and problem at hand. It is essential for hotels to address such situations promptly and ensure that guests have a pleasant stay.

All Hotel staff friendly and helpful, Food very good.

No nearby car park so had to park several minutes walk away.

Parking is a bit difficult, but due to such a great location within the old town walls it’s not surprising, shower in our room (10), was great apart from the water didn’t drain so we nearly flooded the bathroom.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Lovely medeival feel to the town with historic buildings.
