Gorgeous hotel. An architectural gem! Wonderful staff, delicious breakfast, stellar location.
Nothing!
checkin, checkout, breakfast.
room selection. not busy, yet got a room at the far end of a long hallway
Views from the lobby and breakfast area were very nice. Location was good. The pool was very big and lovely. Breakfast was very good.
The room was very dated and dingy looking, although clean. Our balcony door wouldn't open, so we couldn't even enjoy that.
Location good for beach and restaurants. Anna at front desk was smart, pleasant, efficient and welcoming. As was the bartender (handsome tall dark man). He was informative and attentive. Very good at his job. The breakfast manager was efficient, had too many employees and kept the terrible food in order. Was welcoming to the guests. The room was nice and large. Hotel has large windows overlooking the ocean. They thought well to put in several seating areas on the inside. The pool lounges were very comfortable, the pool very cold.
Most staff seems unhappy. Uper management usually to blame for this. Our room refrigerator smelled as though it had previously stored rotten meat. Had not been cleaned or something might have leaked out and went underneath the furniture. The bed was rock hard but somehow comfortable. The water view was obstructed with overrun foliage. The hotel is HUGE and has 3 elevators that go to different wings. You must take 3 different elevators to go to the street and ocean. The processed cheese and meat at breakfast got old as did the British fair. All in all a good free breakfast buffet. Dinner buffet was good but overpriced. Hotel has large windows overlooking the ocean.
Classic old seaside hotel, charming in many ways. Location was great! Staff were very good too!
She’s a tired old work horse! Needs lots of tlc and updating! Dead plants everywhere! Mattress needed to be replaced. Tired furniture. Breakfast was a let down. Quirky old hotel.
The room, the view of the room and breakfast room, the direct access to the beach across the street.I could charge the car overnight.
Breakfast was good, nice service, good choice of food
As so often, clients fall between the cracks of Booking.com and hotels. If Booking tells me I should contact the hotel to change the dates of my reservation, and the hotel replies I first need to contact Booking, something is deeply wrong. And as I was reconvalescent, just out of the hospital, that silly game was annoying to say the least. Almost as annoying is the 25 EUR charge for an hour of late checkout. After paying 340 EUR for 2 nights, and having had to change rooms due to inexplicable noise in the building, all of this was quite disappointing.
View was amazing as was the bar and our room and the room my training was given in - wall to ceiling views, fantastic.
staff had no info on local things like snorkling, the park - not even flyers.there was no way to wash sand off my feet after swimming and being on the beach - had to walk through the hotel with sandy feet!food was adequate, not greatmold smell coming from old section - glad we stayed in the other section
Location, layout, facilitiesIn door pool is beautiful and most probably recently renovated.
Some of the building needs a ‘freshen up’. This would worry some people. (Note also that there are lifts to walk between to get to the ground (road) level for beach access.)
Great location, friendly staff
Breakfast. Expansive but low quality.
Location, staff, internal pool, view, quiet, for families.
Restaurant and breakfast food quality is not up to standard for a 4 star hotel. Also the hotel is outdated and many amenities are obsolete, again, for a 4 star hotel.
Breakfast was varied and good quality. Location was excellent. The pool was big.
The hotel could do with being modernised a bit and being freshened up with paint and new carpets. Furniture looks old, the corridor was are bland. It could do with nice pictures of old Sesimbra.
breathtaking view over the ocean. Amazing architecture from the 60's, and ceramics.
Good location, good breakfast.
The rooms are old and in serious need of an update. The mattress was terrible, the pillows were terrible.
We were really impressed with the view from our room. Good room itself too. Good breakfast. There was no problem to park a car. Very good.

We liked everything about the property. The staff went above and beyond and their communication with each other was excellent. Our heat didn’t work, they tried to fix and couldn’t left us an extra blanket. Thank you to Ruben, Victoria and Pedro. We were actually there the 24-26th 2 nights.
The location is perfect, right in front of the beach. The room has a great balcony with sea view, and you can easily catch some sun and relax. It's an amazing place!
I believe the spa could be a bit better. The Turkish bath is very good, and the pool also great. But it is missing a Jacuzzi and maybe other spa elements. The hotel could use some remodeling, although it's pretty decent. It's probably from the 70's and never had any updates.
