Hotel dos Zimbros

The was amazing, enormous and comfortable bed, amazing pool view. The spa is so nice and relaxing. The breakfast was amazing, the workers always made sure the food was to the guests liking and the taste was amazing. The workers were the nicest people ever.

Everything was ok, but room too close to the road. Not much traffic at night, but enough to wake me up. Had to shut the door to the veranda which bother me. Need fresh air in the room while sleeping.

The cleaning lady entered the room with the “don’t disturb” sign. We asked her why and not to clean with the sign on, and it seemed that she didn’t understand (Portuguese and English). The administration staff was also informed about this situation. It was very disappointing.

Breakfast is optional and when booked in the restaurant it's double the price on the booking.

However, we did not find the breakfast good value for money - there was limited choice

The room was nice. The bed was comfortable. The region was peaceful and there were very few guests at the hotel.

The room was furnished very cheaply and there was wear and tear (damage) throughout the room.The view from the room was a large power pole.

Quiet, free parking

Booking info said Sesimbra, but it was far from the town and far from restaurants. A large nearly empty stand alone property with nothing nearby.

We had a suite, with lounge area, so the room was huge with nice bathroom and good hot pressurised shower. Breakfast was okay with nice breads, fresh ham, cheese etc and limited hot food. Inside the hotel and bedroom it was very clean. Staff were very friendly especially Marcia who was extremely helpful with maps, ideas to visit etc.

Lack of facilities. The hotel is in an isolated position but doesn’t have a restaurant (except for breakfast), you need a car or taxi to go anywhere. Around the pool the facilities are in need of update, tidying and cleaning, outside windows need cleaning, and spa area needs updating. The bar area (staffed by receptionists on demand) closes at 8pm so not the atmosphere you would expect of a 4* hotel.

I stayed for one night only and it was ok

Located far from everywhere ) It's ok though if you're traveling by the car. Rooms are pretty weared

The bed was amazingly comfortable. The garden view was breath taking. The breakfast buffet had absolutely everything, from eggs, yogurt, many types of bread, coffee, dairy and non dairy milk, cereals, oatmeal. It was a fantastic stay!

The listing pictures do not correspond to reality. The facilities need a proper update and maintenance. Everything looks old and used. The entire place smells like bleach. We had to change rooms due to a toilet leak and got new a room with a broken deck piece and the cabinet falling apart. The spa area looked like it had been closed down for years and just opened up without any additional maintenance. The breakfast was bland. The gym area was 2 machines that looked like they had been pulled from the scrap and weren't even working.Definitely not worth the 180€/night we paid for.

It was a very convenient location and amicable room with a balcony.

They made a big deal about booking the jacuzzi and sauna when I checked in, so I made a booking, but when I went for my booking time, there was a couple having sex in the hot tub. I would keep that in mind if you use the hot tub at this property. By 8:30am, the landscaping crew was out and using loud machinery so it wasn’t worth it to be out on the balcony.

Everything. Very nice rooms with fridge, that actually got cold. Loved the balcony. Lovely pool.

No restaurant - very disappointing for a 4* hotel - basically it’s a B&B. Although places to eat around the area … they were too busy, fully booked meant no dinner for me.

The location is the only good thing about this place

The bathroom was the dirtiest I have ever stayed in a hotel. One off the staff actually snapped at me for requesting an iron the third time, more than 24 hours after asking the first time.

check in was quick and the staff were friendly and helpful. we loved the view.

the pillows were thick and hard, so they were uncomfortable. there’s no extractor in the bathroom. tv sound was set very low and we could not adjust it. limited tv channels

Big, clean rooms, all looked relatively new. Overall good value. Very helpful, friendly staff.

You need a car, cabs are available but takes time for them to show up. Not close to anything. Breakfast is ok, but coffee is really horrible. Bit disappointing, Portugal has great coffee, but not at this hotel.
