Cons -
- Aside from the breakfast pretty much everything was disappointing. Firstly, the staff: they do not care about you or your (basic) needs. We didn't even have a proper check-in, upon our arrival a guy handed us the key to our room an quickly moved on to do something else. (Every place we stayed at in the area took the time to inform us about the facilities). So we did not get to ask any questions. I usually just let go of stuff like this. But, the next day my husband asked if they had sauna and they said yes but we should have told them earlier because they don't start it if no one asks them. Ok but we weren't informed about this rule. Again: That kind of information is usually given at check-in. We also asked for an electric water boiler to make some tea, we didn't get it right away, they told us we will get it one hour. Which is already rude but we didn't even get it after that. How many times do I have to ask?! I didn't feel welcome at all which is so untypical for this area. We didn't know where to put our ski equipment, again, no proper check-in. (Heads-up: They don't have electric heating for the boots).Secondly, the room was absolutely disappointing. When we arrived it was cold, I turned on the heat but the room heated up really slowly so I couldn't fall asleep because i was shivering. There were no extra blankets!! The room is old, the carpet was disgustingly dirty, there was an extra bunk bed with extremely disgusting mattresses in it. Just the look of it made me not feel cozy at all. I won't even start on the bathroom which was again, dirty.Price is waaay to high for an accomodation like this.
- Unfortunately, the furniture in the bedroom had broken and missing handles, some light bulbs were faulty. The bed linen and towels were not changed throughout our stay. In the restaurant there were so many flies, not good for a relaxed breakfast / dinner.

I / we have stayed at the Andrelwirt for many years so feel part of the family. I personally have been friends of the family for 40 years. The breakfast was sufficient and our last evening meal with the family was excellent.

Cosy atmosphere in an old medieval building.
