Hotel Puerto de Candás

Clean, wonderful helpful staff, great location for exploring town.

No screens in the windows so there were mosquitoes in the room. Rooms facing the sea also face the road, so there is some traffic noise.

A lovely hotel in a central location. We had a room with a beautiful sea view. Public parking nearby was very convenient, the breakfast was tasty, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming.

We went during the low season in March. The hotel wasn't full so the manager gave us a complimentary room upgrade with harbour view. Easy to park and unload bag outside door before parking free 200m away.Breakfast nice too.

This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. Hotels are always stuffy, hot, cold or noisy. There are always some problems. I didn't find any problems at Puerto de Candás :) The room was very quiet, spacious and had a great view of the sea. The temperature was perfect, all the amenities worked correctly.The staff at the hotel are very friendly and speak English. The rooms are very clean (although need some renovation).The huge hydromassage bath will definitely make me come back! :)

The hotel is very clean, but quite old and worn out. The window in my room could not be closed, the plumbing was cracked and chipped. However, these problems were not critical.

Perfect location, everything we need was really close. We got big windows with a really nice view to the sea and with lots of sunshine in the morning.

Great location. Staff very welcoming. A dog bed, bowl and treats were left for our dogs use.

Location is great, staff is very friendly and the bed was comfy.

The room had a very intensive chlorine smell and mold in the walls. No air conditioning, no fan - we visited in August and it was very difficult to sleep.

Rooms are run down and very small. Bathrooms can be dangerous and tv does not work at times.After being in communication several times with the staff prior to our booking and knowing that we were staying for an extended period of time, I believe they gave us one of the worst rooms in the hotel. It was in a corner with no light or views. Tv did not work at times and the room had no storage for anything at all. So unpacking was not an option. Very disappointed as I had stayed many other times with previous owners and was very well looked after.

A pleasant little hotel, situated just metres from the port of this small, coastal town.Park outside to drop off your luggage and a free public car park in the port area, made life very easy.Critical for us, the wifi was fast and reliable.The water pressure, from the shower, proved a shock to the system - Niagara falls sprung to mind!The room was spotless, the staff extremely friendly and helpful speaking perfect English if you’re nervous about small hotels off the beaten track.Possibly the only criticism would be the limited breakfast options.If money is tight and you have a good appetite, I'd recommend booking room only and having breakfast at any one of the several cafes on the doorstep.Whilst the hotel doesn't have a restaurant there are plenty within walking distance.I have to add though that the hotel's freshly squeezed orange juice was extra, extra special.If we return to Candas this will be our first choice for accommodation.

It's a small hotel so the breakfast area is tiny. If you enjoy a hearty breakfast and are on a tight budget, maybe book room only and use one of the many bar/cafes on the doorstep.

Lovely little hotel in a great location. Quiet area but short walk to bars and restaurants. Hosts were very attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. The buffet breakfast was not available as there were too few guests staying but the team prepared cooked breakfasts for us, which was lovely. Our room was a good size, clean and comfortable. The water temperature & pressure in the shower were amazing especially after a long day on our motorbike.Would definitely recommend and stay in this hotel again.

Wonderful staff! Very friendly and professional. Diego welcomed us and our little dog warmly. The room was lovely with a particularly comfortable bed. Great breakfast in the sunshine. Highly recommend this hotel. It's in a perfect location by the harbour and promenade, close to all amenities.

The location, simple but comfortable, Yago the receptionist was super sweet and kind.

Breakfast was very good and the staff were friendly. Great location too.

Unfortunately we had to park quite a fair bit away from the hotel as there was a local event taking place. Had we known this in advance we would not have booked, as it caused quite an inconvenience after a long day of travelling. Perhaps the hotel might have offered a complementary drink or a discounted price to compensate. The room smelled like wet dog.

Friendly staff and in a good location.

Room was tired, very noisy, we woken several times in the early hours by rowdy gangs of drunk young men. Free parking is dependant on it not being a market day.

The staff were very professional, helpful and friendly. We arrived with our young dog and felt immediately at home. Being situated at the harbor is convenient because we saw all the going’s on and could easily do lovely walks in and around the town.

The location was perfect- right on the water. it had a nice patio to have breakfast and look at the ocean. The rooms were clean and extremely comfortable. The staff was amazing- they were so kind and attentive. I stayed here two nights, but wish it was more. I would definitely stay here again
