    Pros +

    • The hotel is absolutely stunning, views exceptional and cleanliness top notch.
    • Pools near the sea
    • Nice pool facilities and beach area

    Cons -

    • The only complaint we had was the speed of the bar staff and price of drinks for quality. Many times, we ordered drinks and got the wrong ones or waited 30 minutes and were charged 13 euros for mojitos. Our bill was extremely high at checkout.
    • Paid for three rooms. Paid extra for two rooms with queen size beds, one queen room came with two singles pushed together. Also, you have to sit in a certain section of the patio to order either lunch or dinner. Really? They’re like 10 feet apart.
    • A resort type facility without a lot of character

We really liked the rooms that were big and spacious for a family of 4. The pools were wonderful and we enjoyed them a lot. The location was also good, as we were able to travel around without driving for too long. Hospitality was very good, they had mistaken something in our reservation and went out of their way to make us satisfied and comfortable with the solution they had offered us and we really did appreciate that.

The food was ok, breakfast was good but dinner not so much. It was kind of a bummer to discover that the indoor pool was not heated - as it was raining some of the days and it was too cold to use the pools.

Great hotel. Also, I have a celiac kid. They arranged a great breakfast and lunch for her.Pancakes, bread, cereals, cake... for lunch pasta, fries, and mini burger. All gluten-free.Very recommended by me.

Location was excellent and very close to many things in Kalamata. The beach as clean. We rented a cabana every day of our stay and the waiter kostantino was one of the only positives of our stay! He was extremely attentive and check on us regularly and was an exceptional worker!

I understand that the hotel was located on the beach, but we were paying for a cabana (due to our toddler) and we had locals everyday place their things beside where we were.. using the shade.. changing beside us. Its a bit odd when you are paying for a hotel with a private beach. The service was extremely slow at breakfast and in the afternoons. Taking one day almost 20 minutes to get a coffee, or waiting for table settings and cutlery. The eggs at breakfast were horrendus and tasted like powdered eggs.. extremely disappointing for your establishment. The room was at ground level and worked well for us. However i dont think they mopped or cleaned the floor once! Between our kids and the beach it is only normal you train in some dirt, however by the 5 day our feet would be black from the lack of cleanliness. Constantly was them in the shower. Also forgetting to replace wine glasses with clean ones same for the water glasses. Our pillows were what seemed to be a mix of old and new.. some of our pillows were full of lumps! And the others extremely hard ans un usuable.

The hotel looks like it belongs in the Caribbean, beautiful luxury accomodations, stunning grounds, great pools and beach area, amazing breakfast.

It could use some artwork as the walls in the lobby are bare.

Lovely pool. One of the few hotels in Kalamata with direct beach access. Property has been renovated.

Beautiful pool area and beach location

Clean and maintenance of rooms were sub par

Some of the staff was good. Some of the staff was not. The breakfast manager was the best.

Some of the staff was good. Manager and assistant manager are terrible and have a terrible idea, that Privacy in their hotel doesn't matter, when a Cleaning staff entered our room for Turn Down Service that I didn't ask for, and I had all my personal documents on the bed for a court case, and she moved them around to try and 1/2 straighten my bed sheets. That was stupid, and the management didn't care. I asked for some compensation, and they gave me none. For over 400 Euro a night, I can do better elsewhere.

Great location great pool very easy access to the beach, rooms are very accessible. Great patio for breakfast/lunch/dinner.

Everything was good. Needs more sun bed in the pool. If you want to get a location you need to catch one early in the morning.

Beautiful hotel! Very kid-friendly as well. The rooms - recently renovated - were impeccable. The food was excellent (the breakfast that was included, and the food we paid for), and the facilities were great. We really appreciated the shallow pool for kids.

    Everything was great!

The staff was terrific, very friendly and extremely helpful. The suite was immaculate and very comfortable.

This is more about beaches rather than the hotel, but the beach was all rocks and was uncomfortable to get in and out of the sea. If you go, wear a good pair of water shoes to protect your feet. The pools were great.

The location is very tranquil, but also close to the vibrant city and beach life. The staff were very helpful and always welcoming with a big smile. The breakfast is a combination of resort buffet with local flavors that seemed homemade. The pool is magnificent with relaxing music and the access to the beach is great!

The property was gorgeous. The beach is incredible and so the pools. The grounds are clean. The rooms are immaculate. This is one of my favorite hotels in the world.

There is nothing I didn’t like about the property

    10SiokasPosted on: 7-7-2025

The property has been completely renovated and beautiful. I can't even begin to say how helpful and polite the staff is. We have stayed here in the past and had been pleased. The NEW Filoxenia far surpassed our last visits and expectations. We will be returning in the weeks to come!

    10TeresaPosted on: 7-5-2025

The place is beautifully renovated and right on the sea. Very attentive staff who were always pleasant and helpful. Upgraded to a suite that was really lovely. Would definitely come again.

    6AnnaPosted on: 10-28-2024

    It was just ok.

When we booked our room we said three adults which meant we needed three beds instead we had to share two beds that was unacceptable.

    10RainerPosted on: 10-22-2024

Marvelous location, directly on the beach, with not even a road in between. Architecture and layout of the buildings are very tasteful, it was a pleasure to roam around the beautiful garden and pools. Very friendly and helpful staff; my classic room booking was kindly upgraded to a suite. Box-spring beds. Not in the center of Kalamata, but still conveniently close. Free parking with ample spaces, with a guard at the gate.

I don't recall anything I did not like.
