- Breakfast was good. it was Icelandic breakfast. It was good experience.
- Only dogs welcomed us so warmly.
- location was ok.
Cons -
- A smiling face or wave from the host would mean a lot… i am not sure twin size bed and blanket standard in iceland, but the they looked like kid size to us…
- I thought other properties in Iceland were better. During my stay in Iceland, I felt that I paid the most at this hostel and I was very disappointed at what I got compared to the others for what I was charged.
- There were too many people booked for the hostel and it was very loud and not enough bathrooms

Clean, comfy hostel with great dogs and very cozy beds. Kitchen was very large and easy to use.
The air dryers in the bathroom are very loud and really sensitive so would go off a lot at random. Not great if you’re sensitive to noise when sleeping.
Dogs were cute. Liked that we got to choose our room at no extra cost given our situation, friendly staff.
You encounter a lot of people as you do at any hostel.
Cute, quiet hostel. Convenient location. Sweet doggies that greet you. Self check in makes it so easy. Leaving your shoes at the door was new for us but not a problem.
Such a cute hostel! Easy check in and check out. Comfy bed. The dogs, chickens and ducks were such a welcome surprise!
The bathroom is smaller and can get a little wet with everyone using it.
I stayed in many hostels during my trip, but this one was my favorite. The room and was clean and limited to 6 people compared to other hostels that overload rooms with 10. I received the warmest welcome of my trip from the dogs :) The set up felt like a home away from home. The hostel listed many local recommendations nearby that I visited.
I wish I could have spent more time here.
The location is very central in Vik and a very charming property. Several animals on the property, even woke up to the sound of a rooster in the morning that we later found hanging outside the front door to the house. The welcome letter was very kind and inviting and put our minds a bit more at ease for our first time staying at a hostel. There were several bathrooms on various floors, so I never had to wait. The host even has a box of free postcards in the living room.
It was the smallest room compared to the other hostels we booked for our Ring Road trip but the charm made up for it.
Just the location
It has 10 rooms, at least, and just two showers. Just in my room, we were 6 persons. I had to wait each time that I decide to take a shower or go to the toil. It has 2 toilets extra. The kitchen is too small for so many people I will not recommend
We were upgraded the day before and were able to stay near some of the cute restaurants in town! It was lovely!
Not much, the lock was a it tricky, but that did not impact our stay.
Loved the hospitality, I was upgraded for free and that really made my husband and I feel at home. The accommodations (including my original one) were prefect for my husband and I. Bed was also very comfortable, was able to sleep off the jet lag in peace. Would recommend!
Easy walk to the town of Vik and nearby restaurants and grocery stores.provided towels and bed linens.
There's a gravel road that leads to the hostel, but there are no signes.the road looked like a private property that confused weather to take the road or not due to no sign.
Loved the dogs, the location, the staff, etc.
There were quite a few flys in the kitchen which made me hesitant and would LOVE another shower. I did have to wait quite a while to shower
We got an upgrade to an apartment about 2 mins away which was appreciated. The apartment was old but spacious and had all necessities. Location is perfect to explore Vik town. You get greeted by the cutest dogs upon arrival to the reception and if you’re lucky you get to meet the cat too!
Apartment could use some thorough cleaning but guess it’s hard with older homes like that.
Nice hostel with friendly people and clear directions. Good shower.
Nothing in particular.
Location, the chickens and dog, easy check in and out, resources for sites in the area to visit, good views.
The bed is so narrow and small, No furniture in the room except a broken sofa, there is a deep hole in the middle of the sofa
Host provide nothing, no creamer, coffee sugar, salt jar is empty
The dogs were nice, easy check in, nice location
Rooster that woke us up early, lack of enough showers
