Lækjarkot Rooms and Cottages with Kitchen

The cottage was not clean. Faucets in the bathroom was broken. The water came at night but next morning no water at all. Attempted to tall to the owner but no response. Sent text but still no response. Front door did not work. Bathroom had mold all over

We loved our time here! Extremely relaxing location and privacy. We would absolutely stay here again.

Excellent view from our Premium studio. Lots of space for 4 people.

No dishwasher.

Convenient location just outside of town. The room was spacious, had a handy kitchenette, and the beds were very comfortable. Parking right in front of the room was a big plus. Definitely would recommend and I will be staying again next year when I visit.

The room was a little warm and I had difficulty changing it. While the room itself was lovely, the outlook from the room was of a shipping container - didn't really bother me but worth noting.

Internet is not available, and does not seem like it will ever get fixed. Spoke to staff about this, was told to drive up to the office and use internet there. Trailer is generally clean but needs updated - broken and dated items need fixed. One of the living room heaters and bathroom heater were broken. The mattress/bed could also be updated, felt like it had a busted spring. Need better hot water source - very hard to wash up properly with the limited hot water. Was told to keep showers to 5 minutes at maximum. Took up to 2 hours to get some more hot water after 1 shower.

the location is ok, this is countryside and quiet.

I booked 2 rooms, but my rooms are very far end ,so wifi is so bad, no signal at all, kitchen is not actually kitchen, just a little kitchenette, a tiny pot, 2 plates, when I want to take shower I found the shower sink was completely blocked, all water flew out to the floor ,i have to clean the water and go to my daughter's room to take shower.

Small but comfortable. A little off the beaten path but not too far from town. Reasonable price for the area. Decent wifi.

Our unit needed updating. Mattress and kitchen chairs were torn or dirty. Dust and grime were in corners. Very limited supplies.

The cottage was dirty and old. You could see mould in the bathroom and kitchen. Hot water was limited to 3-4 minutes before you run out.

Was a dry place to stay on short notice

Location, food from previous visitors still in freezer, microwave did not work, out dated.

The amenities have a lot of potential but were not clean or in good condition.

The property was lovely, but the cottage we walked into smelled like rotten fish, had dead bugs everywhere, and black mold growing in all corners. Locals at our replacement hotel told us the bugs we saw bite you in your sleep and give large welts. We arrived late and couldn't contact the property manager. Once their office closes they are closed for the day and will not respond to messages. Would never recommend this at all. Avoid at all costs. Oh, and the doors do not lock.

Room for improvement in value for money

Cottage homes are equal of mobile homes. Rooms were very quiet and nice remote location.

I liked the size of the room and that there was a table and two chairs. It would have been nice to have a small lamp. Also would have been nice to have some hooks to be able to put away jackets at the door.

The cleanliness was questionable but passable.
