Good value for the money and localisation is perfect

Good location. Directly across the street from the ferry terminal from Horta. Decent room and good breakfast.

Breakfast and location (2 minutes walk from the ferry+great parking place) are very good

The hotel in total is not well maintained and not very clean. Air condition didn't work properly in one of the rooms (we had 3) and some other staff (as the bathroom stopper didn't fully stop and the stream of water was weak).

Very good breakfast, big swimming pool with sunchair, access to gym. Close to dive shops, ferry, car rentals and restaurants. Clean rooms.

Good location, near the port where you can travel for other islands. The breakfast is very good, served in a sizable room.The room was clean, has a minibar and a coffee machine. The mattress was a bit too hard, but not a problem.Parking is available in hotel (from the Port side) and we always had a place to park.We've appreciated very much the fruit bowl which was waiting for us in the room and the small chocolates left - it was a very pleasant treat :)

We've read some reviews before but the hotel exceeded the expectations. No smells, sound proof is good enough and it works.Shower drain was a bit clogged, but not that big of a deal.

I was only on Pico for 3 days but the hotel was great and centrally located. Breakfast was good.

I appreciated the breakfast buffet choices each morning.

It was not a busy time of year and the hotel was virtually empty. It would have been nice to have a view that did not look into the parking lot and other side of the hotel.

It was in a convenient location

The strong scented deodorizer smell. We had to leave the window open for quite sometime and our room was cold

Situation was perfect as arrived by ferry and hotel was just a short walk away.

Thought it was expensive. Room was equipped with a coffee pod machine but there was only enough for one day. We asked for more and was told we would have to pay for them. This is supposed to be a four star hotel, goodness only knows how they qualify for four stars. They did not even serve dinner in the restaurant.

Located near Ferry Terminal and close to some Cafe's. Nice breakfast. Bathroom size good. Shower above bath.

Well located in front of the harbor. Amazing breakfast choice!

The view of the room was just into the inner yard. That was a potty.

Hotel Caravelas has a great position in the centre of Madalena (Pico) nearby the harbor. It is clean, breakfast is nice and the staff is nice too.

It should be renovated.

Very old fashioned, bad smell in the corridors and rooms, AC locked to cool, uncomfortable beds. No idea how it was ever an 8.3 score, as they advertise in the reception. It feels like it hasn’t been updated at all during the 21st century.

Stayed just one night because of an early flight the next day.

Requested an early check in. No communication back. When I eventually was able to check in the room I entered had not been cleaned. Breakfast was unsanitary with rotting fruit and fruit flies. Very dated decor. Beds hard as rocks.

Very clean and tidy. The location is perfect, just next to the pier and the center of Madalena. The breakfast was great: a wide variety of products with great quality.

Very well located, clean and a big room, lovely little balcony with a view to the ocean and Faial island, comfortable bed, coffee machine in the room, good breakfast.
