    Pros +

    • Brilliant location and great to have a balcony
    • On the beach
    • The best thing this accommodation has going for it is its superb location. Otherwise, unimpressive. One step above a hostel, but at a hotel rate. The manager on duty acted like she was being interrupted (holed away at a desk off the lobby) every time we approached the reception desk, mattress was uncomfortable (coils?), the waiter in the attached restaurant was unpolished (verging on rude), and the breakfast provided was 99% carbs (and not even great tasting ones). Of the eight hotels booked for our Camino route, this is the only one we would NOT return to.

    Cons -

    • Charged me for parking I did not use. My complaint was not satisfied, so I was ripped off for that. Hope they enjoy my eight euros.Check in was by a housekeeper, who struggled.Disappointed in what should have been a great stay. Won't recommend or return.
    • Staff attitude, room decor, linens, shower function, no a/c, food

Great location, clean modern property, very comfortable room, great shower, excellent restaurant on premises, friendly and helpful staff. We highly recommend Hotel Las Olas and would stay at the property again.

We stayed here whole walking the Camino. Amazing location with views right onto the beach. Smallish size room with a huge window-wall, one chair, comfortable bed with many pillows, medium size wardrobe, tv and a shelf under the tv with a drawer. Good size bathroom with ok toiletries. We also stopped by the restaurant downstairs several times and the staff and food were great. Again the location was the highlight- watching the tides change, the rocks appear, and the morning sunshine streaming through the window was awesome. Great spot for going on the local hike around the mountain and the beach (just keep the tides in mind and the beach completely changes when the tide is high). The hotel staff let is store our luggage after checkout while we went for a hike and we are grateful for that.

Foyer in the room missing a shelf or bench to put stuff down on, or pit on shoes.

Beautiful room with view of the beach. Super clean and just perfect, right on the Camino de Santiago.

Very friendly staff. The room was large, clean and comfortable. I liked the bath. The location was great to pop to the beach!

My room was right on top of their restaurant and it was unfortunately quite noisy.

Amazing views! Comfortable beds. Nice breakfast even if it opened a little late in the morning

The bed was in the wrong direction. It could have been on the other wall, then you actually could have enjoyed the amazing views of the ocean just 50m away.

Staff really friendly. Great breakfast and a sea view. Great stay on our Camino del Norte

Nothing really. A bit noisy from downstairs but everything closed before midnight

    Lovely room, overlooking the sea.

Our only complaint was that the heating in the bathroom wasn't on in the evening. This was only because the hotel didn't actually open until the following morning.

Everything the room was lovely...clean fresh and very comfortable. The shower was wonderful and the location was perfect

    It was great.

Nice room very near the beach. Good underground parking about 50 m away although there is plenty of on street parking at a reasonable daily rate nearby.

The restaurant was not open every evening.

You could not ask for a better location—the hotel is across from a beach that is a visual marvel with changing views depending on the tide, with clumps of spikey rocks visible at low tide that are completely hidden later. The room was clean and provided a sea view, the staff welcoming. The tourist information office is just around the corner. There is a large square nearby with a cafe, where families come in the evening: parents enjoying a coffee or glass of wine, kids playing nearby, but all happy, friendly exchanges. It’s also on the Camino del Norte hiking trail so if you want a break from hostels and to have a private bathroom, this hotel would be a consideration.

Three fabulous seafood dinner combo options were advertised at the front desk when we registered, but nothing was to be seen about them on the menu when we went down to the restaurant for dinner. It’s like it was a secret. Even our initial server had no idea what we were asking about and she ended up calling over another server who explained to her what we meant.

Great location and very nice staff. Two great terraces.

    All good

Room was lovely, great size. Bathroom was excellent and had a bath which was an added bonus. The bed was very comfortable - I had my best nights sleep of my camino. The hotel is located on the route at the beach front. The breakfast was excellent. Staff were especially nice. Pre arrival communication was excellent.

The sound of the waves, the view for the sea. Cafetería downstairs. Close to Camino del Norte.

There was noise in the evening hours, but it’s understandable - beach, cafeteria

    10KeithPosted on: 5-5-2024

Very good stay while on the Camino Norte.. clean and comfortable with a view overlooking the beach and the sea. The restaurant onsite was the only place in town that we could find to be open on this day, but it was quite good. Lovely staffs, would recommend..

Breakfast buffet was ok but would be improved with some hot food options

    3SusanPosted on: 5-4-2024

Breakfast was the only service that met expectations.

We selected a room with twin beds AND a sea view. When we checked in, the room only had a single full bed. When we went back to reception to change that, they said they didn’t gave any rooms with twin beds AND a sea view. We asked for a refund for the room without sea views and they said we would have to work it out with Booking.com. The room we ended up in was tiny, the towels were small and tissue thin, the view was of other hotel rooms and apartments. Disappointing all around.

Great location, comfortable big bed and quiet. I came in from the beach walking the Camino del Norte and the hotel was the first place I came to. Big plus - a bath tub!!

    Great location & breakfast provided

The sound insulation of the room was really bad. There were a lot of noises when we resting in the room.
