Hotel Landgasthof Schöntag

Very accomodating staff. We arrived a bit late, just before the kitchen closed, but they held a table for us and the meal was excellent. The family room was large and clean with a very nice balcony and easy access to the lake to view the sunset. Free parking was available in front of the hotel. Unfortunately, we had do leave the next morning so we missed the breakfast that was included in the room rate.

Everything was very nice with a very comfortable room. No suggestions.

Wonderful place with a big lake and a park nearby. Good value and nice room. Very dog friendly. Delicious food in the steakhouse.

Very unfriendly staff. They have left us without a heating in the rooms, even though they knew that we were coming with a baby. Also they didn’t seem to carry to fix the problem as soon as possible.

The rooms are clean, the breakfast was very good. The family staff is very friendly.

The location was convenient on the way from Munich south to Mittenwald. The staff were accommodating.

It was pretty loud in the morning when the traffic started gearing up, as our room faced the highway. A screen door would protect against mosquitos and flies. One of the doors to the balcony had one but not the other.

The hotel is in a tranquil location with beautiful scenery. The lake is nearby, offering opportunities for walking, cycling, and, of course, swimming. Munich is easily and quickly accessible, taking just over half an hour by car. The hosts were very kind and hospitable, allowing us to check into our rooms even though we arrived two hours before check-in. The breakfast was varied and the rooms were cleaned daily.

In the evening there are quite a few mosquitoes due to the nearby lake, but mosquito nets are on the terrace doors.

We did arrive late (22:00) so appreciate not easy for the staff but shame we couldn’t get a drink or sandwich

The hotel is located in a very nice place and the rooms are large and comfortable. The staff was kind and available to meet our necessities.

A bit grumpy communication style

Family room was a good size and beds were comfy. Breakfast was exactly what we needed with a good variety and serves were large. It was handy having a beer garden next door with a good menu.

Family room was very hot and so with the doors open incredibly loud from main road in front of hotel. No air-conditioning or tea/coffee making facilities in room.

We arrived late, with no street lights, it was very dark.

Charged extra for the kid (I let them know in advance) who slept in the same bed with us.

We booked triple room with breakfast. We liked the balcony set up and steakhouse restaurant and free parking. Bed also was confortable

2nd floor no lift. Ceiling like attic so cannot stand near bed. No kettle. No breakfast was offered not even coffee. We booked with breakfast but received a shoddy treatment at restaurant. Overall value for taking so much money for a night was a waste. But they don't care

From the hotel it is an easy drive to the town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen where the Zugspitze is located in the German Alps.

Very good room temperature! Nice surroundings.

The steaks were not what I had expected for the money! Although I had ordered 4 different meats, they were ruined with a lot of pepper and other spices or souces (recipes not mentioned in the menu).

When we arrived at about 19.30 in the evening after a long journey we got the information that there was no room for us although we got it confirmed several weeks ago. NOT ok! We were advised to go to another hotel in the neigbourhood.

The hotel is near to the lake, 3minutes far by walk, which is highly suggested. The hotel has an own restaurant and beergarden. Foods are tasty and fresh.

A bit expensive, but the lakeview maybe worth the price, also the beds are a bit soft for us.
