- They did not let us turn on the A/C, the room was super hot all night. The room was a bit smelly and sheets not really smelling like were washed. Very strange.
- My.only complaint was the size of the shower. I had to pull my arms in just to turn around.

The location I cation was ideal, in the middle of everything. Valet parking made luggage drop off and departure easy. The room.was slightly above average in size and nicely.furnished.Breakfast offered a good amount of choices.

Beautiful historic hotel with gorgeous views. Wonderful breakfast and restaurant.
It was an incredibly beautiful property lovingly looked after by the entire family. The owner greeted us and checked us in, his daughter was a helpful waitress and barista, his mother the cook and sometimes concierge, and his father the valet (which is such a nice perk in Montalcino where parking’s at a premium) and odd jobs man. It was lovely!!!With GORGEOUS views and an excellent restaurant, it could easily be an all-inclusive place. But why would you want that in Tuscany??We cannot say enough about what a perfect property this is and how perfectly you are taken care of by the owner and his entire family. The fact that it is a family run operation made it all the more dear to us.
Nothing!!
We enjoyed our stay, the location was perfect. Right at the edge of the ZTL. We drove our car to the door and they parked it for us. Our room had some very nice views. The staff was very accommodating and the restaurant area below had a warm and comfortable atmosphere. The breakfast was one of the better ones we had experienced on our trip.
The particular night we were there, there was a event taking place at what looked like to be a theater. It was very load and lasted to about 1am. (or at least the noise in the street did). I suppose we should have just joined in. We didn't get much sleep that night. But if you want the location of being right in town this might be a worthwhile sacrifice. I will say it was a Saturday night as well.
Amazing location, close to everything.Nice breakfast.Convenient valet parking.
The staff were excellent, especially those at the front desk.
I really liked the cleanliness, the feeling of being in Italy and the wonderful breakfast and The view!!! If you were in montalchino, I highly recommend this place.
Very close to shops and restaurants
The beds were small mattress was hard pillows were flat so sleeping was uncomfortable
Good location
Breakfast on the first day was way below the standard I would expect. I was extremely disappointed. I look forward to a breakfast when away from home. All the strawberries save 2 were moldy. Butter was provided but no bread or jam. No ham, no cheese just cakes and some rather dry croissants. The second day as there were more people a better breakfast was provided. Still second rate strawberries, but not moldy!
il Giglio hotel was beautiful. Our room was on the 2nd floor (no lift). The staff is very accommodating. Their restaurant for dinner and breakfast was delicious! The view of Montalcino from our windows is incredible! The hotel is in the center of the adorable town and is within walking distance of everything (shopping/dining/Montalcino's sights/inCoop market) within 5-10 min. I really liked being able to store our luggage at the hotel until our driver picked us up (2pm). Il Giglio is a terrific hotel!
Good location
Although we didn't have any problems, I assume the staff was tired, because almost non of them was smiling and they looked annoyed.
The hotel is located in a very well maintained old building in the center of Montalcino. The restauration was done in a very artistic way. It was such a nice feel to stay in such an old building. The breakfast buffet was excellent.
There was a misunderstanding about the parking as I needed a parking for my car. But it was resolved later on.
Beautifully situated in the heart of the town.Exceptional breakfast with homemade cakes, fresh juice and great coffee. Wonderful view from our room and bathroom! Excellent restaurant too.
Old style hotel with lots of character right in the centre of town. Good restaurant in the hotel although there are quite a few good restaurants in Montalcino.
The location was excellent. It was in the middle of town and it was easy to stroll around the area and discover this beautiful, historical town. The hotel was a perfect size and everyone was so friendly.
I really do not have any complaints.
The people and location are lovely! This is a wonderful town and hotel. I love the restaurant - the Chef /owner is the wife; the maitre d’ is the husband. Food is delicious! And special!
Its not their fault! Its a wonderful old building and my room was on the 3rd floor. My reservations were made last minute so I knew that would be the case. When I checked in i handled my over-packed luggage myself. But I would stay there again!!!!!
Blast good , meal in evening very good- loved how they parked car for us
The mattress was not real good
right in the centre of town, very friendly helpful staff.
unfortunately unable to park my small camper, so quite a long hilly walk to the free carpark.
