- Beautiful location with large spacious and comfortable rooms. Two restaurants on property - La Taverna was the best meal I’ve had in a long time. Nice wine bar for tastings. Staying in this castle was worth it.

- Great service. And the beds and linens weee amazing.
Cons -
- Nothing - unless they could have stopped the rain!
- We were bummed that our Junio suite did not have views of the countryside or a small loggia
- The limited view from the terraces

We were bummed that our Junio suite did not have views of the countryside or a small loggia
Perfect location. Very nice old building. The one thing that could be better is the view from the terraces. For instance the breakfast area has a terrace with a 100 cm high wall around it. Tis blocks the view which is really a shame because the view is very nice. Also there are not a lot of common areas to sit. The lounge of the hotel is only 4 by 6 meter and has new windows with a view
The limited view from the terraces
Everything! The rooms were pretty, comfortable and very spacious. The service is very remarkable. Staff were super friendly and very helpful. The hilltop location offers a memorable view. Had a superb stay!
We liked everything really.
the location was lovely
The superior suite which was the largest room available to book for 3 adults had a sofa bed which was terribly uncomfortable and not suitable for an adult to sleep on
The room was fantastic. Lots of space and a small bottle of wine and bag of biscotti upon arrival. The restaurants were both wonderful. The tour of the winery and wine tasting was fun and informative.
We loved the location, walking, winery tour, ambiance, restaurants, food, breakfast
Property was stunning, winery tour and guide were amazing, and the staff delightful.
- very professional and welcoming staff - wonderful view, especially from the pool - complimentary drinks and snacks at the pool- superb, big rooms- great museum inside the castle - offers a great reading room with books and board games and complimentary drinks
not really related to the actual hotel, but the mobile signal is pretty weak to inexistent. This also causes their own Wi-Fi to be very weak
Excellent boutique hotel in the most perfect location near Montalcino. Fabulous food and rooms not to mention the winery
The location, service, and our apartment were spottless. A true 5 star hotel. Very good Michelin Star restaurant.
Incredible food at both restaurants, very helpful staff, beautiful room overlooking rose garden. Superb views. Very special place indeed. Would definitely recommend it and would stay again tomorrow!La sala do Grappoli was outstanding. Couldn’t ask for better setting or food!
My wife and I are avid world travellers having stayed at some of the best hotels in the world. There really are no words to describe how peaceful, quiet, and perfect this hotel is. The grounds are immaculate, the rooms are extensive, the pool has an incredible view, the staff are excellent and the list goes on. It's a very quiet retreat if you're looking to relax and unwind. Absolutely loved it.
Having a more efficient way to get service (drinks and food) at the pool. Perhaps having a buzzer or phone at the pool so you can ring room service or having someone waiting on the pool throughout the day. We were able to order food and drink through reception, but there's likely an easier way to do this.
Rooms way over-rated - comfort acceptable but not consistent with hype about this place.
Steep narrow stone stairs including to the room can be construed as dangerous. Any slip and it's curtains. This is no place for middle-aged to older people.
Everything!!! Staff was exceptional. Accommodations were beautiful, comfortable, elegant, relaxing. Wine tour was informative. The wine tasting delicious. The dinners delightful. Mountain biking w e-bike a blast and the pool perfect.
Leaving!!!
Quaint and beautiful property without feeling pretentious. The breakfast was amazing and both onsite restaurant options were great. You feel immediately relaxed when you arrive. The grounds are beautiful and rooms are spacious.
Perfect location, amazing staff—literally nothing to improve! I personally think it is not ideal for a stay with kids (unless your kids enjoy beautiful views, wine, food, and a quiet location). However, for a couple looking to escape the noisy world, nothing can be better than Banfi!
From the room to the grounds to the service to the attention to detail, it was truly beyond expectations. The room size for a family of 4 was just perfect. There was an abundance of things to do on grounds and a couple of great restaurants in nearby towns.
Location and the ambiance of the hotel was perfect. we stayed in the suit and the view of the window was like the photo of tuscany. If you are one of Brunello fan like me Wine Shop is alsa amazing. Bed was so comfortable. Breakfast was ok. You could also choose anything like omlette from buffer breakfast selection.
The only thing that I didn't like was the behaviour of Marco in the brekfast area. He as not smiley and helpful. If you will order more than one thing, I think he is getting angry. It wad rainy and I asked just for taking umbrella thr answer should be yes or no he said wait please btw umbrellas were in front of me. Then I asked what should I wait for. He spoke on his own; then I took two umbrellas on my own. He was totally not polite. If you dont have patience against these kind of behaves; try Borgo Santo or so in this area.
