    Pros +

    • The masseria was gorgeous and relaxing. Teodoro is so helpful and the homemade food was delicious. Enjoyed the pool and all the animals. Rooms are nicer than they look in the photos.
    • Gorgeous place Super friendly people Book the evening meal. All produce from the extensive gardens. This is a gem of a find. Luxury in a place where you don’t find much. You need a car. There’s a beach about 10 mins away. Volcanic sand but lovely. Ultima. Mario could do with making a deal with the bus driver to provide a service to the beach so everyone can drink. Breakfast is all from the garden too. Pool area is lovely and they like children. A tour of the gardens and animals is available if you enjoy agriculture and sustainability. Book this!!!!!
    • Beautiful grounds, play area for kids, interesting animals

    Cons -

    • There are a lot of bugs outside but that’s expected with a farm. Didn’t bother us much though.
    • It’s new but old Friendly staff
    • More umbrellas by the pool would have been nice

The grounds are wonderfully maintained and full of delicious organic fruits and vegetable. The agricultural tour is well worth your money alone and Teodoro (as well as all the family running the place) was a gem of a host. The rooms are very clean and full of charm, and the swimming pool and surroundings are a delight to relax. The only negative about the place is that you do not want to leave it…

Nothing - this is a little paradise.

Wonderful place, with a pool, impressive amount of animals in the farm, alot of plants grown in there including tomatoes, zucchini, eggplant, pepper, melon, watermelon and many more… the building itself is new and very well decorated. Rooms are spacious. Highly recommended

Wifi was weak in the rooms. The rooms are divided into upper and lower floors. Those in the lower floor can get disturbed by the steps and noise of upper floor, as it is not well isolated.

Amazing animals, fresh farm food, relaxing environment, beautiful and with overly kind staff.

Breakfast, pool, small zoo of animals, tranquility, bbq

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. The property photos don't do the place justice - it's stunning. Located in the middle of the countryside - it is as peaceful as it is beautiful there. Lots of greenery, fruit and olive trees, organic gardens, plenty of places to sit out and enjoy the swimming pool, the animals or just chill in the gardens and read a book. Mario, Teo and all the staff are the consummate hosts showing genuine Salento hospitality and they go to a lot of effort to ensure guests are fully enjoying their stay on the property and Puglia in general. The rooms are beautifully furnished with Italian antiques, the bathrooms are modern and having a balcony on either side of the room, meant there was a lovely cool breeze throughout (there's air con too if that's your preference). The food is divine! For breakfast, there was daily freshly baked bread, fruit / veg from the garden and home made treats to set you up for a day's sightseeing. I had dinner there one evening and it was fabulous - my only gripe being that I couldn't finish it all. Lecce, Otranto and the Adriatic coastline beaches are within easy driving distance and while it's located in the countryside (it is an agri-tourismo after all!), it was so nice to return to the peace & tranquility of Relais Borgo Segine and chill out with a glass of the local vino on the balcony for some star-gazing (no light pollution) before bed. It was a truly restorative stay and I hope to return some day.

I enjoyed my entire stay here and could find no fault with my stay here.

The most amazing villa, with wonderful owners and their truly amazing team, made us feel like in paradise, our kids (6 and 7) were the happiest people on earth in this place. It is an impeccable villa, brand new build in an authentic style, kept all the old traditions and love to the detail. You get fresh flowers in your room (melts my heart), brand new bathroom facilities (hard to find in Italy), freedom and love to kids, hundreds of birds, and you get served every morning freshly made breakfast. We didn’t want to leave, and if ever to come back to Puglia, only here.

Amazing place, not a single thing to complain

Very nice Relais with spacious and modern rooms (brand new washrooms). Our room had a balcony, looking into the yard. Fantastic!Breakfast was made with love. Very nice cappuccino and homemade pastries.Parking is on site without a fee. What makes the Relais special is the people. Everyone we met was soo nice and welcoming.Mario, the owner, is such a nice person. We were glad to spend some time with Teo, who showed us around, meanwhile talking Italian, so that we could improve our italian. Many thanks to you Teo, with your kindness, you made our trip unforgettable. Thank you :)

This location is not just another touristic place; Mario & Grazia have turned a magic vision into reality and offered to share it with the world! It is an architecture, ecosystem and services unique convergence, a lesson about how life could be lived happily. Try the home made food, it's excellent. Try the local wine they serve, it's great. Enjoy the wonderful garden, the animal community in the yard (worldwide variety), the peace under the sunset and the kindness of the hosts/staff.You must discover yourself all these, it's hard to describe. If you want to eat out sometimes, without travelling extensively in the region, there's a very good pizza place in the next village (3 minutes drive) or the restaurants in Lecce, the next town. Beaches very near, lots of places to see around in the region, at 1-2,5 hours drive; the town of Otranto was the revelation for us.

Outstanding breakfasts! Wonderful & helpful staff! Thank you Teo, Mary & Anna! Large, beautiful & comfortable rooms with a fabulous bathroom! It's a farm retreat where we were able to totally relax.

You are in the countryside & need to drive along narrow roads to access the local restaurants. This didn't concern us but be aware!

Breakfast was amazing, property dog was so cute. Grounds were lush and beautiful. Staff was so nice. Rooms were huge and very very clean. Pictures did not do the place justice.

Very clean and comfortable room. Beautiful and a little bit mystic garden. A lot of space, no neighbours. Attention to details. The hosts were nice and kind.

Only one of the hosts speak english. When he isn't there the comunication is difficult for strangers. When the hotel was full, always something run out at breakfast. There were domestics birds nearby making noise from three o'clock in the morning. It was impossible to sleep whit open windows.

We literally love everything of our stay. Starting with the spacious room, well balanced between countryside, vintage and modern vibe. The beds are huge and comfortable, the bathroom the same, A/C for these 40 degrees in south Italy was a must and functioned very well, the balcony view on the swimming pool and the enormous backyard is just amazing. Breakfast, fresh homemade and copious. For one of us who was celiac, Garcia made her everyday of our stay different gluten free pastries. You can find everything you need for a good start of the day. The animals that are living in the domain are coming from all over the word, we had a tour around the organic garden, orchard and animals guided by Teo and learned a lot, really eye opening. The location of the domain is amazing, near the sea not far from the big cities, still the domain itself is very quite and chill. You can book dinner in advance and also by local wine from Mario’s collection.

It's not often in life that you get the chance to stay in such a place owned by amazing people. This place made our vacation truly special. So much heart was put into every detail, so much care for the guests. I don't know if you can expect anything more from a Salento holiday. If you're traveling to Puglia and looking for an agritourism experience, I believe this is one of the best places to stay.

Borgo Segine is a very beautiful tenuta with excellent friendly staff, amazing architecture and grounds. It entirely exceeded our expectations. The property is new and very tastefully designed and the rooms are unique. There are many animals and birds to visit and Teo gave us a tour of the grounds. Mario and Grazia are gracious, kind hosts. There is a wonderful selection of home-cooked food for breakfast and dinner. The swimming pool is very nice and there is a nice area beside it to sunbathe and relax. I could not recommend Borgo Segine highly enough and we were sad to leave it.

We spent beautiful days at this place, hosts are very nice and generous. It was like a family, Mario Gracia Theo and all the staff was respectful. The food was local and handmade by Gracia, they product their own olive oil, marmelade, jam, juices and more other things. Domain was beautiful, that is a perfect place to discover the region. not far from the cities and very close the most beautiful beaches of Puglia. the domain is being extended with a spa we will comeback to try it for sure ! It can be a perfect place for an event as a wedding or any other event. Variety of animals and volatiles, Mario is a passionate and you can tell it by seeing him working hard. thank you again for everything and see you soon.

Everything was just perfect in Borgo Segine, we enjoyed every single aspect of our stay, the place really exceeded our excpectations. The rooms are great, extra clean, spacious and had everything we needed with a beautiful balcony with pool and garden view. The property has a huge farm with exotic bird species, and a small playground for kids, a true piece of heaven for couples and families. We stayed there with my 2 year daughter, she really felt at home and she loved the people there and the little dog. Best holidays for us :D

Extremely special experience to live in an organic farm. The dinner served is organic and homely authentic Italian family cooking. We feel so warmly welcomed by the host and it was so lovely to meet the large variety of animals there! The location is also good, very close to Lecce and the sea.
